🚫 We’re gutted to say that the T.S.O.L. show on Saturday 9 August won’t be going ahead. We’ll spare you the long statement, but let’s just say: putting on live shows is harder than ever right now. For grassroots venues, independent promoters, and touring bands, the margin for error is razor thin.

Here's a few stats to mull over:

- According to Music Venue Trust, 16% of grassroots venues closed last year
- That’s 125 venues, over 14,000 gigs lost, and thousands of jobs gone
- Audiences haven’t bounced back post-pandemic, and the whole ecosystem is under pressure.

So, if you've been wondering why your favourite small artist hasn't toured lately, that's why.

We get it. The cost of living is rough right now, and for many people, gigs are a luxury. But if you do have a bit of spare cash, please consider putting it into your local music scene. Buy a ticket. Go see a band you’ve never heard of. Support your local venue. BECAUSE If we only go to arena shows and big corporate festivals, then that’s ALL we’ll be left with.

🚨 GIG NEWS 🚨 Legendary Cali punks T.S.O.L. set to play The Drill, Lincoln on Saturday 9th August. Hardcore pioneers T.S.O.L. helped shape the sound of West Coast punk then twisted it into something darker, smarter, stranger.

As one of the most respected bands to emerge from the 1980s California punk movement, they blazed a trail through the skate and surf scenes that went on to define a generation in sound, style and attitude.

Over for a run of European festivals, they're stopping in at The Drill for a rare, intimate warm-up show.

Hey everyone 👋

This one’s a tough one to write.

First off—thank you. If you’ve ever set foot into a Badlands show, played a set, bought a ticket, helped us out, or just shouted along in a room full of sweaty, like-minded people, you’ve been part of something special. What started as a little DIY dream in 2018 became a regular fixture of the Lincoln live music calendar. We got to bring incredible bands to our city, throw the kind of nights we’d always wanted to go to, and build a community that felt like home. That’s down to you.

Which is why this bit stings. We had every intention of making this year’s festival happen—we started putting together a killer lineup to celebrate our fifth festival (!) But..after a few shifts in our personal lives and some logistical headaches, we had to face the reality that we just can’t give it the time and energy it deserves this year. So, for now, Badlands Festival is on pause.

Does that mean this is the end? Maybe, maybe not. But right now, we’ve got three more shows at The Drill—and if these are our last, we want to go out like we came in: loud, sweaty, and with all our pals. So please check out the dates below and come and celebrate with us!
