๐ŸŽž๏ธ Leo Woodall stars as a gifted young piano tuner with a heightened sense of hearing draws the attention of criminals, who see his talents as useful for opening safes as well as for tuning Steinways. With his once-promising musical career over, he works across New York with his mentor Harry Horowitz (Academy Award-winner Dustin Hoffman), encountering a range of characters, including composition student Ruthie (Havana Rose Liu), with whom he forges an unexpected connection. Nikiโ€™s safecracking work threatens his budding romance with Ruthie and pulls him into increasingly dangerous territory. Blending romance, drama, and the taut suspense of a heist thriller, Tuner also features performances from Tony Award-winner Tovah Feldshuh, Jean Reno, and Lior Raz.

Another chance to see the People's Emergency Briefing - The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times).

It features a line-up of experts, including Chris Packham, leading scientists, a former general, and Jennifer Saunders, discussing the urgent need for action against climate and nature breakdown. The film aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the crisis and the potential solutions to address it.

After the film screening, there will be a short open discussion about what it means for our community and what we can do locally. We will be inviting various local influential people to join us.

๐Ÿš‚ Local journalist, historian and storyteller Chris Lloyd will bring to life through stories and images the quirky, and fascinating tale of how the Stockton and Darlington Railway got the world on track. The historic 26 mile journey between Shildon and Stockton via Darlington on 27 September 1825 transformed how the world traded, travelled and communicated. Engineered by George and Robert Stephenson, it was the world's first public railway to use steam locomotives. The opening drew 40,000 spectators and a holiday was declared in Darlington.
๐Ÿฐ Following Chris' talk there will be a short interval during which complimentary cake will be offered to our audience.
๐ŸŽž๏ธ Then follows the 45 minute docudrama 'The First Five Miles' featuring Stephen Tompkinson and Bill Fellows. The film was produced to mark the 200th anniversary of the Stockton & Darlington Railway and explores the often-overlooked first five miles of the historic route.

His two estranged children enlist Lori, a young painter and sometime-forger, to pose as a prospective assistant and gain access to a fabled series of unfinished canvases Julian has buried deep in his home studio, in a deceptive bid to secure an inheritance for themselves.

๐ŸŽž๏ธ Verdiโ€™s hugely popular La Traviata returns to the Sydney Harbour water stage featuring a breath-taking soaring 9 metre high, 3.5 ton chandelier covered in 10,000 shimmering Swarovski crystals. This glamorous production was captured on location on Sydney Harbour in 2021 in front of a sold out audience. La Traviata features timeless romantic arias, lively choreography, beautiful costumes and spectacular fireworks.
