MIDNIGHT MONOLOGUES

Launching September at Fibre

A late-night strand for actors, writers, and performers to test monologues in front of a live audience—raw, direct, and unpolished.

After dark, the warehouse becomes a stripped-back space for voice and presence. No sets. No distractions. Just you, the text, and a room full of people listening.

We’re looking for performers bringing new or developing monologues—unfinished writing, early drafts, bold rewrites, or pieces being tested out loud for the first time.

Parameters for performers:

* Monologues only (solo performance)
* 5–12 minutes in length
* New writing or work-in-progress preferred
* Minimal staging (no set, no props-heavy work)
* Text-led performance (memorised or lightly read is fine)
* Open to theatre, spoken word, character work, or hybrid forms
* Must be comfortable performing in a stripped-back, late-night setting

Each night will feature a curated line-up of performers testing work in real time.

This autumn, Fibre launches its first live performance season in our warehouse in Leicester.

We’re opening as a fringe performance space for theatre makers and live artists who want to share work in its early stages—scratch material, work-in-progress, and pieces still finding their shape in front of an audience.

Inspired by the spirit of spaces like Etcetera Theatre in Camden, but set within an industrial warehouse, this season is built for risk, experimentation, and unfinished ideas meeting real people.

We’re not presenting a finished programme. We’re hosting a living season.

Across the autumn, each night will bring together a curated line-up of artists testing new writing, physical theatre, devised work, live art, and hybrid performance. Work that doesn’t sit neatly in categories—but demands to be seen to become itself.

Some pieces will evolve. Some will return. Some will only ever exist in this moment.

We’re offering space, audience, and attention—not venue hire.
