WE ARE VERY PROUD AND EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE HAVE RECEIVED HERITAGE LOTTERY FUNDING 🥳🎶✨
To research 100 years of jazz in the region, we will be working in
Leicester, Nottingham, Derby, Lincoln and Northampton.
To create a series of documentaries that will culminate in a regional tour with interactive and digital arts exhibition and jazz heritage show.
Expect it to be informative, creative, dazzling, unique and innovative in true Cosmopolitan Arts style ❤️🎶✨

If you are or was involved in the jazz scene, or have parents/grandparents who have a story to tell please get in touch. We would like to interview people, hear their stories and see their photographs and films.

Here are some of the official photographs for the Lord Left Lieutenants Mike Kapur Award for Young People 2026. This wonderful awards ceremony was held at County Hall and was a fantastic opportunity for all the young people involved.
Amber Wood who is a Cosmopolitan Arts student; attending for many years, was a finalist. It was lovely for her to receive recognition for her talent, hard work and dedication to music. Thank you so much to all involved for making this such a memorable experience for all the young people and it was a pleasure to be part of such a special event. .kapur.56 🥳✨🎶

It was a huge honour that a Cosmopolitan Arts student Amber Wood, was finalist for the arts category at the Lord-Lieutenant Mike Kapur Award for Young People 2026. This splendid awards ceremony was held at County Hall and was a delightful experience for all the young people involved. This has had a huge impact, helping to raise her aspirations through giving her recognition for her talent, hard work and dedication to music. Thank you so much to all involved for making this such a memorable experience for all the young people and will most certainly make a positive difference to all their futures. ❤️

I am so proud of our students, who are currently studying music at Leicester College, they did a fantastic job and sounded fantastic at The Big Difference doing their end of course show last night.
Some have attended Cosmopolitan Arts for many years and it’s nice to see them grow and flourish. They so kindly have offered to donate the proceeds of their end of year show to the youth music lessons at Cosmopolitan Arts Centre. What a lovely and kind gesture. These amazing musicians and singers Amber, Bre and Lem are awesome!!! ❤️🎶✨Thank you so much for being part of Cosmopolitan Arts and for being so kind ❤️✨
