✨✨ Dear friends
While all good things must come to an end, 📝 warm memories last forever! 📆 After a gap of 7 years, we, in Europe got to experience the feeling of the Marathi spirit and culture . The 2025 Leicester European Marathi Sammelan, 🎭📣, (EMS) was a triumphant rebirth and surpassed all previous festivals, was held on a grand scale, with engagement and the highest attendance to date! 🥂
🎬 In recent times there is no shortage of Maharashtrian activities and programmes in Europe. The truth is that the European Marathi Sammelan, first organised in 1998, has been a great initiative ❤️. Rather than monetary profit or loss, the vision has been how to nurture, protect and grow our Marathi heritage and culture. Its success has been in the depth of feeling and pride in it being ‘our Marathi Sammelan’. And its this inner drive that has meant that rather than a ‘one off’ event , it has been nurtured over the last 26 years into something that protects…. grows our heritage and culture
What more can be said? The enthusiasm, the crowd, the mouth-watering Marathi menus and the fun that we all had, is still fresh in the minds…. in fact unforgettable! This “rejuvenation” after a gap of seven years was truly historic.
🍰During EMS, 50 different delicious Marathi delicacies served as part of the meals. 🥙🍛🧆 3600 plates were served to 1800 people over the 3 days. 30 Marathi celebrities attended the conference! By any standards a fun filled success!
🙏🏼 And this success of the EMS is down to all of us.
We would like to convey heartfelt thanks to our celebrity artists from India, local artists without whom this would have been incomplete and impossible.
The support from the various industries and sponsors was invaluable and a heartfelt thanks to all of them. There was amazing and sometimes unspoken but not unseen work done by the members in the background and this includes the programme organiser and head of A3 events, Mr Amol Bhagat and his whole team. The effort they put in played a huge part in the success of this event. Mr Tejinder who managed our Audiovisual setup, the whole Athena teams headed by Ms Hira Ram, (such calm work processes and ‘can be sorted’ attitude) deserve a huge round of applause, as well as our volunteers who came from all over Europe to help us very often forgoing their own enjoyment of watching the programmes
🧑🍳 A special mention goes to our celebrity chef, Mr. Vishnu Manohar. Enjoying his fantastic culinary skills meant the programme was enjoyed to the fullest by everyone.This was possible with the effort and planning from the whole Feast India team. I’m sure you would agree!
We also had the unwavering support of the Government of Maharashtra , Hon Mr Uday Samant, our CGI, We are eternally thankful for this
And most importantly, this conference would not have happened without all of you. Every participant, every Marathi heart and every Marathi soul ! In fact it’s your enthusiasm that gave the event its vibrant life 🕺💃.

The website 🕸️ and e-mail 📧 services will now be closed, but our Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp services will continue to operate. All the photos and memories will be shared there, so stay tuned!
✊🎗️ EMS Leicester ‘Punargaman’ 2025 kept its social role and responsibility. Snehalaya and Bhagini Nivedita were chosen and their work supported with a donation of £1000 and Rs 1,00,000 respectively. This was possible only because of your support participating in the event. We have also donated £1000 to the next EMS as a seed money.
🙋♂️✌️ Every trip has to end somewhere and sometime. The curtain on the EMS 2025 will come down 👋 but with the cheers at the end of the show reverberating loud and clear. The heart full of pride in what was a celebration of Maharastrian culture.
Goodbyes are tough, but they're just the beginning of the wait for our next meeting.
So let's part ways briefly... only to meet again….in Germany….. in 2027! And then once more enjoy with passion
