☼ FINAL ANNOUNCEMENT ☼
We’re ridiculously excited to announce Charlottefield as the final main artist for Quiet Steps 2026.
Few bands from the UK underground have left a mark quite like Charlottefield. Emerging in the late 90’s, they carved out a sound that felt both violent and hypnotic, blending fractured rhythms, dissonant guitars and relentless momentum into something entirely their own. Their records on FatCat became hugely influential within experimental rock and noise circles, helping shape a generation of bands drawn to tension, repetition and raw emotional intensity. Even now, their music still sounds ahead of its time.
What makes this appearance even more special is the rarity of it. Charlottefield have barely appeared on stages since disbanding in 2008, this marks their first public show back, and first performance in Leeds since 2007 (when they played with Foals at the Brudenell, anyone?!). Closing a near two-decade absence from the city. For many, this will be the first and only opportunity to witness one of the UK’s most revered cult bands in a live setting again. Quiet Steps exists for moments exactly like this.
“No hyperbole, one of the best UK bands from the early 2000s”
