People are just brilliant aren’t they!! Really blown away by your support for Roman. The man has thrown himself around on stages for years and been an all round top fella, and his just-deserts is this community of fans, admirers, colleagues, musicians, friends and just generally good people.

A little update. Roman is under the knife today for further tests to properly diagnose and finalise his treatment plan. He’s tackling today with his usual humour and real strength.

It’s going to be a tough few weeks.

A quick update from us…

Many of you will know Roman as the voice, the charm, and the mischief behind Crooners.

We wanted to share a brief update. Roman has recently been diagnosed with throat cancer and is now undergoing further tests as his treatment plan is put in place. The positive news is that things are moving quickly, and he is in good spirits.

For now, he’ll be stepping away from performing to focus fully on treatment and recovery. We’re very much looking forward to having him back on stage where he belongs.

As a self-employed performer, Roman makes his living through singing, from Crooners, weddings, events, and other live work. This period away from performing will therefore have a direct and immediate impact on his income.

For those who wanted to support him during this time, we wanted to open up two simple ways:

While he’s away from the stage, Roman will be taking on a small number of hand-drawn pet portrait commissions.
His work is highly detailed and usually privately commissioned, so this is a chance to support him directly while he focuses on recovery.

To the lady who threw her knickers at us at Majestic Theatre Retford - we've put them on a delicate wash, and they should be fine to collect. Perhaps we'll bring them next time.

Its been a while since we've had knickers thrown at us. Well, so long we cant remember if it has ever happended before. Made our night. And was a great laugh!!!!!!!! Thank you xx
