In Memory of Ray Holmes.
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Ray Holmes — the very first employee of Equinox Group and a cornerstone of everything the company has become.
Ray wasn’t just one of the team; he was Equinox through and through. A career spanning over 5 decades in the exhibition industry, his knowledge, dedication, and work ethic helped shape the foundations of our company.
It’s without exaggeration that Equinox would not be what it is today without his input.
My business partner Jim and I owe Ray a great deal. He taught us so much about the exhibition structure — not just how to build stands, but how to build a team with integrity and pride. We worked together, we argued together, we put things right together — but above all, we remained the closest of friends.
I will deeply miss our long phone calls and our regular fish and chip lunches.
Ray was taken from us far too soon and deserved so much more...
Our thoughts and love go out to Pearl, Kirsty, and all of Ray’s family.
We know how much he meant to so many.
Rest in peace, my friend. You’ll never be forgotten!
