Years from now people will ask where were you on the 9th August 2025. And you’ll be able to say “I was there, I was at the Lakefest Cocktail” and people will shake your hand and buy you drink whilst you tell them of the day!

Tomorrow is our “Ladies Day” to celebrate and promote female acts in music. 1pm through till 8pm, kicking of with DJ Becky Wilson and her Motown set. We are thankful to Becky for stepping in at short notice.

It’s going to be an exceptional afternoon and evening make sure you come and see us and enjoy a cheeky cocktail or two (or three)

In January 2024 a report by Rolling Stone magazine following a survey of the music sector identified whilst it was slowly on the increase the numbers of women represented in music both performing and behind the scenes was less than 35% of the sector as a whole.

We at the Lakefest Cocktail Stage and the Lakefest community as whole want to promote quality music, musicians and workers in the music profession in all their guises.

We take seriously the role of supporting and promoting people coming into the industry. Many of our acts have female members but in a small step to start to redress the balance we have decided to promote female acts this Saturday. From 1pm to 8pm Saturday we will be showing female only acts for you to sing with, dance with and generally enjoy.

We hope you will enjoy them as much as we do and join us to show your support for some absolute quality musical performers who also happen to be female.
