🐑🧶🥄🎭 Talks, Demo and performance! 🐑🧶🥄🎭

We had such a wide variety of events during the festival including 2 great and completely different woolly talks by Susan Anderson of the Yarn Journal and Zoe & Maria of The Wool Library. We had demo chef John Crouch cooking up a storm using ingredients you can also use to naturally dye fabric and yarn and then we had the performance from Freya, Nina and Shaneen named 'Spun stories and unspun fates'.

We have lots of ideas on what to include next year, is there anything specific you would like to see? drop your ideas in the comments!

🏭 Our Venue 🏭

The festival was spread over Buccleuch Mill in Langholm with most of the stalls in Drove Weavers, the last working textile mill in Langholm. Just a few weeks before the festival, Creation Mill's founders, Emma & Leanne Duncan, took ownership of the Mill, and what a away to showcase that - opening the doors to hundreds of visitors over the two days.

Knowing it would work in theory but actually making it reality was slightly risky! But that risk definitely paid off, we think its the perfect (but slightly rough around the edges) backdrop for the festival, especially as quite a few of the vendors have had cloth/blankets/scarves woven by Drove Weavers.

We have bigger and better plans for next years show, including having a demo loom running for visitors to watch.

🐑🧶🌿 1 MORE SLEEP 🐑🧶🌿

Wow we can not believe it is finally here! From getting confirmation of funding in November 2025 to now ... to say it's been a busy few months is an understatement!

This festival has grown arms and legs since the original idea - from adding farm tours, drama performances to cooking demos and additional workshops - it's going to be a busy few days.

All our workshops are fully booked - there are a few spaces left on the TVNR tour and some spaces left on the talks, performance and demo.

Visit https://www.creationmill.org/wwwfestival to book your tickets - remember to add to cart and check out.

We are grateful for D&G Council Regional Cultural Fund for supporting this event!

🧶🧶 W,W&W Festival - Bonus opening! 🧶🧶

The lovely Alan at Yarns to Yearn For will be open on FRIDAY ONLY!

When we were organising this back in November Alan was away for the 2 days but lucky for us he's around for you to browse his lovely yarns and fabrics on Friday 10-4pm.

Alan rescues deadstock yarn and fabric from textile businesses and breaks them down and twists them up so that they appeal to the hobby weaver or knitter! His selection of yarns is dreamy - definitely worth a browse!
