Today would have been the first day of Lancaster Jazz Festival 2026.
Sadly, this year’s festival couldn't go ahead because we didn’t receive the funding needed to make it happen. After 15 years of bringing incredible musicians, artists and audiences together, that was a particularly difficult.
We want to take a moment to say a massive thank you to everyone who has supported Lancaster Jazz Festival over the years. Whether you’ve joined us once, come back year after year, played at the festival, volunteered or simply helped spread the word. Your support over the past year, and throughout the festival’s 15-year history, has meant so much to us.
We know that this is a pause rather than an ending, and we’re looking forward to being back when we can.
In the meantime, please keep supporting the gigs, musicians, festivals, events and venues you love. With funding across the arts becoming increasingly difficult, and regular news of events being cancelled and much-loved venues closing their doors, your support really does matter.
The arts need audiences, and audiences make the arts possible 🎷
