Thank you from feva's chair, Gwen Lloyd!
First of all, I want to thank the feva committee for all their hard work planning this year's events. Their enthusiasm and hard work is truly inspiring.
I also wish to thank our sponsors Piccadilly Motors, Knaresborough Town Council, Knaresborough Lions, W Bowers Funeral Directors and Councillor Matt Walker. Without their support we would not be able to plan and deliver the festival.
The festival could not happen without the cooperation of the venues across town, so thank you to the Frazer Theatre Official and their fantastic volunteers, the Kingfisher Kiosk at Conyngham and their brilliant staff, all the volunteers at St. John’s Church, Holy Trinity Church and Gracious Street Church for always being on hand to help, and the committee and staff of the Knaresborough Working Men’s Club, as well as to all the local businesses and venues who got involved, hosted events and exhibitions and supported the festival! Huge thanks also to all of the feva volunteers who turn up and support all of our events - we appreciate you so much!
I am very grateful to Simon Watts of Piccadilly Motors who yet again supplied winter storage for the many trompe-l'œil panels which have been created during feva over the years and the wonderful volunteers from Knaresborough Priory Lodge who helped install the trompes in spring and will be there to remove them in the autumn to go into storage over winter. Without the help of all of these people we would not be able to ensure the future of these valuable Knaresborough assets.
The staff of North Yorkshire Council have been very supportive in helping us obtain the various permissions required to carry out the festival events. A special thanks to Jatinder Kalsi of Lux Construction who very kindly put up the flags - the town looked great. I would also like to thank the staff at Beyond Digital for their patience as we put together the busy programme. Thank you also to FTAV for the logistics and technical support, and of course for the Picnic in the Park stage! Thank you also to Andrew from Neode for all his ongoing support with our website.
A big thank you to all of the businesses in town that became art galleries and those that turned pink to celebrate the festival - you never cease to amaze us with your creativity. A huge thanks to Knaresborough Chamber for organising the fantastic window competition once again!
We'd like to extend a huge thank you to all of the artists, musicians, actors, dancers, performers, workshop leaders, writers, event organisers - the festival simply wouldn't exist without you! We've loved this year's programme, and it's thanks to all of the fantastic events and exhibitions, so thank you for joining in the fun!
Last of all, I want to thank everyone who came out and supported the events. The buzz around town was great! Thank you all and see you next year!
