For those attending our Mahler Six concert on Saturday, you're in for a treat! Kirkcaldy Orchestral Society - Fife's Community Orchestra (fellow winners at this year's Royal Philharmonic Society Awards) will be giving a free pre-concert performance in the Exhibition Hall from 6.30pm.

Make sure you come along early to the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall to hear them! 🎶

What happens on Tuesday evenings?

Every rehearsal brings together people from all ages and all walks of life. We are united by music-making but behind the music stands are many special relationships with each other. Encouraging, listening, inspiring and supporting in life as much as in music.

Through music and friendships, the orchestra is a second family, rich in care, love, laughter and joy. 🎶 💚

KOS on tour starts with Glasgow!

The Royal Scottish National Orchestra won the Ensemble Award at the RPS Awards in 2026.

They have invited KOS along as fellow RPS 2026 winners to give a pre-concert perform at their season opening weekend.

We will be playing on Saturday 19th September between 6.30pm and 7pm in the Exhibition Hall at the Royal Concert Hall, Glasgow. If you already have tickets for this event come along early to see us play.

It is a great honour for Kirkcaldy Orchestral Society to be invited to play on this opening night. Tickets are available from the RSNO website.

Rehearsals began on Tuesday for our busy new season. We welcomed all members back plus five new players.
2026/27 here we come! 💪 🎶

Kirkcaldy Orchestral Society will be performing at the Fife Festival of Music in its 45th Anniversary year.

We all thoroughly enjoy playing in the Community Music Making class along with other ensembles from across Fife - and beyond!

If you play in an ensemble, why not take a look at the prospectus and think about joining the class in February 2027.

Whether as a performer or audience member, we’d love to see you there. 🎶

We’re counting down to our open rehearsal on Tuesday 2nd June.

All existing, lapsed and new players welcome. Come and try a variety of music, meet likeminded friendly local musicians and most importantly - have fun.

This is a playing evening only, full participation - no audience, it’s just for players in the room.
