Last weekend the 2025 Kinross International Friendly Bonspiel took place with 20 teams from all over the globe. It was an amazing time, with lots of great curling and many new friendships made as well as old ones renewed.

For the first time we had a ladies team as our overall winners. Congratulations to the Australian ladies. They beat the Scottish Musketeers team in a tight final. The low road was won by another ladies team representing England, edging out a Scottish men's team in another game that went down to the last stone.

Due to work commitments we have had a team withdraw from Septembers International Bonspiel. That means there is a space up for grabs for one team to come to Kinross for an amazing weekend and meet curlers from Canada, USA, Australia, Switzerland, Denmark and all over the UK. Our bonspiel this year has expanded due to the overwhelming interest we have had this year from overseas teams. We are very excited to run with 20 teams, with representatives from Canada, USA, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, England, Ireland, Wales and Scotland.

We have just had one team withdraw, so there is a space up for grabs if anyone would like it. All the information and registration is on our website at https://kinrosscurling.co.uk/clubs/kinross-curling/pages/international_bonspiel.

It’s still a long time until the next international bonspiel here in Kinross, but if you can’t wait that long, we have a similar Bonspiel, our Over 40s Bonspiel, from 8th to 10th March 2024.
There are still some spaces available for this, and you can find all the details and the registration form at https://kinrosscurling.co.uk/clubs/kinross-curling/pages/over_40s_bonspiel.
Finish the season off with a great Bonspiel where you get 4 games and 4 meals for £85 a person.

All is looking good for the International Bonspiel at the end of September. We have now received a good number of bookings as well as quite a few who have said they wish to come and are checking with their teams. There are still spaces though, so if you were thinking of coming, now is the time to check with your teammates and plan it into your schedule.

What a fantastic weekend. Wonderful people and great curling. Thank you to everyone who came, it was great to see some old friends again and make new one.
