Felabration Hull returns on Saturday 17 October 2026, marking Fela Kuti’s birthday and celebrating his music, ideas and enduring legacy as part of UK Black History Month.

From The Underground Spiritual Game exhibition to film, conversation and the evening Tribute Session, there is something happening throughout the day.

We are proud to announce that Felabration Hull returns on Saturday 17 October 2026, as part of our celebrations around Fela Kuti’s birthday on 15 October and UK Black History Month.

What started in Hull in 2024 has continued to grow, and we are proud to bring Felabration back for another year of celebrating the music, ideas and enduring legacy of Fela Kuti.

This year, we are bringing together culture, conversation, music and community through the rerun of The Underground Spiritual Game exhibition (produced with support from Hull Museums), documentary screening, WHO ARE YOU? Forum and evening Fela Tribute Session.

For 2026, we are pleased to have Browse Studios as our venue partner.
