Hull International Choir Competition The choir competition in Hull offers categories for each type of choir, from Musica Sacra to Pop, Jazz & Gospel. Welcome to the "Singing City"!

In additional Evaluation Performances the participants can work with internationally renowned choral experts on your repertoire. On the East Coast of England, with beautiful historical buildings, lively entertainment, bustling shops, traditional pubs and tasty restaurants, Yorkshire's only waterfront city of Hull is a hidden treasure. After a successful inaugural event in 2023, this competition re

turns, inviting choirs from across the globe to showcase their talents. Hull, known for its vibrant cultural life and historical beauty, offers the perfect backdrop for a celebration of music, that celebrates the diversity and unity of the choral world. Participants will also benefit from Evaluation Performances, where they'll receive direct feedback from internationally acclaimed choral experts. As a city with a rich choral history, from early church music to modern initiatives with a focus on outreach and inclusivity, Hull is eagerly waiting to welcome choirs from all over the world to this "singing city" again. 🎤 A powerful closing note to our video highlights from Hull 2025!

To open the event's Awards and Closing Ceremony, two incredible community choirs came together on stage at City Hall:

✨ All For One Choir – Yorkshire and Lincolnshire’s largest community choir with over 450 voices, returning after inspiring us just two years ago.
✨ Barnsley Singers – an inclusive adult choir with over 160 members, bringing generations together through the joy of singing.

Under the direction of Helen Garnett and Luke Mather, they delivered a moving performance, here you can watch them singing “Roar” by Katy Perry, a wonderful symbol of unity and strength!

Congratulations and a big THANK YOU to all participating choirs in the Hull International Choir Competition 2025! 💚

We're deeply grateful for a weekend full of outstanding musicality and passionate performances. A big applause goes to Motýli Šumperk from Czech Republic for achieving the highest score in the competition with a total of 25,96 points in the "Youth Choirs (Mixed and Equal Voices" category. 👏
