✉️ Email sent to all ticket holders today 📧

Good Afternoon,

We just want to update you on progress of the refunds for the cancelled Gwên Gwen Festival.

We have spoken to Eventbrite today, over 70% of the tickets have now been refunded, we are aware there is a delay with the remaining tickets.

We are working to refund the remaining tickets as soon as possible.

We expect all refunds to be processed by Tuesday 29th August, you will receive an email once the ticket has been refunded which will include details of when the money will arrive in your account. This is usually only a couple of days so all refunds will be received in your accounts before Friday 1st September.

We're sorry for the delay, we're working as fast as we can to get the refunds out, however this delay is beyond our control.

Don’t forget, there is still a huge amount going on around Kidwelly this weekend.

Capel Sul Events have live music outdoors through the weekend 🎸

The Masons Arms Kidwelly have live reggae music 🇬🇳

The Fishermans Arms Kidwelly will have a live DJ tonight from 10:30pm

The Gatehouse Kidwelly has musicbyjt playing from 4pm today!

And, we have live music playing on the main festival site, with Dub Fx on stage at 7pm!

All the above are free entry events, come down and enjoy the night 😊

We are truly devastated to announce that Gwên Gwen Festival 2023 has been cancelled.

The team have worked tirelessly over the past 9 months, especially this week under extremely challenging circumstances with weather making the site build difficult and as a result of these challenges and the associated added extra costs, we have made the very difficult decision to cancel the event.

This is not a decision we have taken lightly and sincerely apologise for the disappointment this will cause.

We want to thank all the ticket holders, volunteers, artists, traders, contractors, security and everyone who has helped under extremely difficult circumstances and gone above and beyond to make this work.

All refunds are currently being processed and an email will be sent to all ticket holders, these will all be processed with immediate effect, please allow 5-7 working days for the money return to your account.

Again, we apologise for this disappointment, we will release a further statement on Monday.

Take a seat and have some belly laughs at Kidwelly Rugby Club, home to our very own Kidwelly RFC. Kidwelly Rugby Club is located a very short walk away from the festival arena and in the main town square. Serving cold pints and snacks to accompany them, Kidwelly Rugby Club will be our host for comedy, open mic and also some bands.

Wristbands for this years Gwên Gwen Festival will be given to you in exchange for your tickets - scan your ticket at the main gate on the day by the main festival arena in Parc Stephens and you will receive your wristbands in return!

Fancy a cold pint? Take a short walk around the corner from the main square into Lady Street to the building you could mistake for the sun with it’s bright yellow colour. Take a walk out of the back door and find yourself their brightly coloured beer garden where you can enjoy your pint in the sun. With a pool table available, why not have a game of pool? The Lord Nelson is here to serve you ice cold alcoholic beverages, along with some bar snacks to accompany it.

It's Festival week! Head on over to Capel Sul this weekend for a free event to compliment this weekend's Gwên Gwen Festival. Held Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August for 2:30pm - 10:00pm. Enjoy the live music, food and drinks. A big thanks to Education Capel Sul Events for holding this event, we can't wait for this weekend!
