Today we remember VE Day marking the end of the Second World War in Europe. We honour the courage, sacrifice and resilience of all those who served and remember the joy, relief and hope felt across the nation when peace was declared.

Step Back to the 1940s is returning for 2026 and we're inviting you to get involved to create a fantastic atmosphere for our visitors. If you're a re-enactor with a fantastic forties dress-sense, own a period vehicle that you'd like to display, want a stall in our bumper forties fayre at The Engine....
