KEYNSHAM MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES LANDMARK INDUSTRY PANEL - A FIRST IN THE FESTIVAL'S 29-YEAR HISTORY
Oasis insider, grassroots trailblazer and rising Bristol rock star to debate the music industry live on the Youth Stage, Saturday 5th July 2026
Keynsham Music Festival is delighted to announce an exciting new addition to its 2026 Big Weekend programme - an industry discussion panel that brings together three of the most compelling voices in live music today, in what marks a significant first for the festival in its 29th year.
Taking place on the Abbey Youth Stage on Saturday 5th July, the panel will be hosted by Laura Blaber (Bath Spa University) and features three guests whose combined experience spans the very top of the rock and roll world, the grassroots gigging circuit, and the cutting edge of the South West's emerging music scene.
Iain Robertson was tour manager and head of security for Manchester band Oasis during their steep trajectory to rock royalty in the 1990s. He has since worked with an extraordinary roster of artists including George Harrison, Public Image Limited and Duran Duran, and has written about his experiences in his book Oasis: What's The Story? - Life on Tour with Liam and Noel Gallagher. His stories from the front line of rock history are as gripping as they are illuminating.
Fraser Morgan is a rapidly rising Folk-Punk singer-songwriter known for relentless gigging and for bringing to the stage high levels of passion, energy and showmanship. He has built a trusted and loyal following, championing mental health and unity at the core of his music.
Ava Geoghegan is one half of the twin-fronted Bristol indie fusion rock band Kodachrome who played their very first festival here at KMF. In 2025 they sold out hometown shows at venues including Thekla and The Louisiana, opened for major acts at the O2 Academy Bristol and the Komedia in Bath, and appeared on festival main stages across the South West. The end of 2025 saw them represent the United Kingdom at the Imagine International Finals in Brussels, taking second place overall — the first time a UK band had appeared in the competition. Kodachrome will be performing on the Top Stage on Sunday.
Festival Chair, Mike May commented: "In 29 years of Keynsham Music Festival, we have never hosted an event quite like this. We have always championed live music and emerging talent - but this panel gives our audience, and particularly the young people attending, a genuinely rare opportunity to hear from people at every level of the music industry. From the Oasis tour bus to the grassroots circuit to the stages of Bristol - this conversation is going to be fascinating, inspiring and completely honest. We are absolutely delighted to make it happen."
The panel is entirely free to attend as part of the Big Weekend programme and is expected to be of particular interest to young musicians, aspiring performers and music industry professionals, as well as anyone who has ever wondered what life really looks like behind the scenes of the music world.
