Say hello to one of the boldest, funniest and most gloriously unafraid shows heading to Greenbelt this summer: Luisa Omielan’s God is a Woman: The Musical.

It’s part stand-up, part theatre, part spiritual unravelling. Wholly unique and perfect for Greenbelt.

Here’s why we think her show will be one of the most talked-about things in the fields this year…

To celebrate , here are some top tips from two of our very own volunteers. And THANK YOU from all of us at Greenbelt to all of you for your hard work and open hearts. We simply couldn’t make the space we do without you.

We all love reuniting with our regular Greenbelt crew, but is there anything better than bringing someone new to the fields and watching them fall in love with our festival too?

It can be a little scary, of course. After all, you want them to love it as much as you do. We’ve put together some essential things to remember, if you’re bringing someone new to Greenbelt.

1. Greenbelt is four days spent outside, away from the stresses of real life. Once you’ve taken up residence in a beautiful field just outside Kettering, the fun can begin. Ease them in gently. A brew in a camping mug. A slow wander through the festival village. Sit outside the Jesus Arms and introduce them to your mates as they wander by (which they will).

2. Trying to describe Greenbelt beforehand is almost impossible, so now they’re here – let them figure it out for themselves. And once they’ve settled in, chuck them in at the deep end. Let them stumble from Taizé worship to a rowdy late-night set at the Rebel Rouser. From a conversation about the future of democracy to a badge-making workshop to a gobsmacking circus show to some slam poetry. Soak it all up.

3. Some people swear by a falafel wrap whilst gazing out over the lake. For others it’s sitting under a tree outside the Canopy with a book they never quite get round to reading. Maybe it’s raving at the Hot House until your feet hurt. If you have a favourite thing you love to do at Greenbelt, then remember to share your tiny rituals.

4. Remind them about the Saturday morning Greenbeltrun 5k. Either so they can bring their trainers and join in this weirdly joyful festival tradition. Or so they can skip it entirely and enjoy a lie-in.

5. Remember that for three days you can watch as much brilliant comedy, dance, spoken word and theatre as you like. Encourage them to fill their boots. Why not take a chance on something you’d never normally book (and afterwards wonder why you don’t do that more often)?

6. Some of the best Greenbelt moments happen because you were on your way somewhere else entirely. Encourage them not to over-plan. Leave gaps in the middle of the afternoon. Listen out for basslines and follow them. Enjoy getting lost.

Say hello to one of the wisest, funniest voices heading to Greenbelt this summer: Jordan Stephens.

Musician. Writer. Actor. Mental health campaigner. Occasional chaos merchant. One half of Rizzle Kicks. Owner of possibly the greatest middle name of anyone at the festival (Fontenelle).

Here are a few reasons we’re glad he’s joining us in the fields…

Thinking of bringing a youth group to Greenbelt this year? We’ve got you covered.

Here’s everything you need to know about what there is to do, how we look after you, and why we hope you’ll have The Best Four Days with us…

1. We’ve a dedicated youth venue, the Dengine, tucked away in the woods but near our main stages and arena. It’s just for 12–17s, and it’s a mix of programmed sessions and space to simply hang out. Across the weekend you can expect a blend of talks, creative workshops, music, games, and moments to pause.

2. No-one likes a hangry teenager, so there’s also a tuck shop and simple café-style food, so young people don’t have to wander far when they need a break or a snack.

3. Beyond the Dengine, the whole site opens up and young people tend to roam freely and make it their own. There’s plenty to get stuck into across the site - from skate ramps and circus skills to crafts, lawn games, plus talks, music and workshops happening in every venue.

4. We know that coming as a youth group brings its own dynamics. While most groups camp within the main campsite, we can sometimes advise on suitable areas that work well for youth groups, so just ask us and we’ll do our best to help you plan.

5. We have a dedicated Access team on site. They can help with everything from arrival and navigating the site to making sure young people can take part as fully as possible.

6. We also run The Haven, which is a quieter, calmer space away from the bustle of the festival. It’s somewhere to reset, with sensory resources, and a supportive team on hand.

7. We have a full safeguarding policy and clear terms around age and supervision, ratios etc, which we’re very happy to share. In practice, we work in partnership with group leaders, who remain responsible for their young people and bring their own safeguarding processes.

8. The campsite is well-served for supplies, with a 24-hour café, general store, and camping supplies shop, so you’re covered for both essentials and late-night toasties.

9. If you’re a first-time youth leader then your ticket is free. We also offer a simple group discount. For every 10 tickets booked, the 10th is free using the code 26GROUP10.

See you in the fields…

Say hello to one of the wildest, loudest, most gloriously unclassifiable things heading to Greenbelt this summer: Fulu Miziki.

Yes, technically this is a Saturday night party. But it’s also a parade. A protest. A reminder that joy can still be built from the wreckage.

Here’s why we can’t wait for them to hit the fields…

Is this your first time at Greenbelt? In the run up to the festival we thought we’d tour you round a handful of our favourite spaces, large and loud, small and special. Here’s our starter for ten…

1. Co-created with our friends , the Hot House is here to show us all that another world is possible. One that’s brimful of love for people and planet. Full of activism and inspiration by day, and anthems and perspiration by night. To paraphrase the great philosopher , if you must join a movement, make sure there’s dancing.

2. Plenty of people tell us afterwards that they didn’t even realise there was a roaring campfire lit every night. You’ll find it out there in the campsite and it’s the perfect spot to wrap up warm, sit out under the stars, feel the warm glow of the fire and swap stories and songs.

3. Jesus’ Arms are always open and so is our festival pub. The ‘Jarms is the beating heart of our festival village and always full of Greenbelters happy to chat over a reusable cup of whatever you’re drinking. If this is your first time look out for the JA’s rather splendid hand-painted pub sign and the many many benches outside.

4. The Lawn is our huge, fabulous space to run, scream, play, tag, throw, chase, kick, and more. You name it, you can do it all against the backdrop of elegant Boughton House. We have drop-in games of all sorts running all day – or why not bring your own ball or frisbee and start one?

5. Are you ready for the time of your life? Then it’s time to join the Caravan of Love. Curated and crewed by our mates at the brrrrilliant , it hosts their own brand of hope-full creative activism. Expect anything from secret sessions from big names to impromptu poetry to surprise DJ sets.

6. A festival is a marathon not a sprint. Sometimes you just need to find a deep, comfortable chair and take the weight off over the perfect cup of tea. There are plenty of spaces to do just that, whether it’s the legendary Tiny Tea Tent, the Tank lounge, or the splendid Hope & Anchor from , which also has board games, a dry bar and three days of programmed conversations and surprise guests.
