The future of Thrapston Festival of Voice
Dear friends and followers of TFoV,
Following an absolutely incredible inaugural weekend in 2025 it is very much the intention to repeat TFoV in future years. Sadly after much effort and engagement it has been decided that the festival will not run in 2026.
This is down to a number of factors, primarily time (as a small team of 1!) and, more crucially, funding. Financing such a weekend takes months, even years of writing applications and budget planning, and at this stage we are not in a comfortable enough position for the festival to take place next calendar year.
Some good news, though! In order to continue the musical output in Thrapston, and safeguard future festival weekends, there will be a number of one-off events taking place throughout 2026, which will be duly advertised in the coming months. The purpose of these performances will be to raise money for TFoV in general, so that we can hold larger events in the future (hopefully in 2027).
Please do support these events if you can! And indeed, if there’s a particular event or performance you would like to bring to or see in the town, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!
