A new chapter of Kendal whisky festival is upon us.

After 5 wonderful years at Kendal Town Hall, this year we are delighted to announce we will be sharing a few drams at Kendal's brewery_arts_kendal Situated off Highgate, just down the road and only 150 meters away from the Town Hall. We can't wait to welcome you to Kendal's premier festival hub on the 4th and 5th of December.

Tickets for this year's festival will go on sale on Friday 10th April at 7pm via our website.

One session down & 2 to go, were looking forward to welcoming you to this years festival.

Some Masterclass highlights with our headline Sponsor Bunnahabhain opening the masterclass schedule, followed by Spirit of Yorkshire & finally Sprinbank.

Incredibly there are still tickets available for our Masterclasses, but i guess 1975 Bunnahabhain, 26 yo Springbank (Claxtons) isn’t for everyone 😁.

Also a sneak peak of our festival single cask with Ardnamurchan, call by and see Carl for a dram, these are extremely limited, with the first sessions bottles selling out in minutes. Be quick 🥃

We are delighted to introduce this years festival bottling in collaboration with Ardnamurchan Distillery. This will be available from the Festival shop, which is located downstairs this year, between the 2 downstairs exhibitor rooms.

A vey limited release Single Cask Oloroso 9yo, this will be sold on limited allocation split between each of the 3 sessions.

Filey Bay Single Casks – Past, Present and Future
Over the years, Filey Bay has bottled and released some truly exceptional single casks. However, unless you happen to be in the right place at the right time, these rare releases tend to disappear quickly.
For this special tasting, Whisky Director Joe Clark has delved into the distillery’s archives to uncover a few hidden gems from the past, alongside some of his personal favourites bottled earlier this year. To complete the line-up, he’s included two never-before-tasted casks that offer a glimpse into the future of Filey Bay single cask releases.
The Line-Up:
Single Casks #146, 63.1% ABV & #147, 62.6% ABV – Released via ballot directly from the distillery in 2022. These sister casks were both matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts.
Single Cask #3121, 52.5% ABV – Released in 2025 for the distillery’s Open Weekend. Matured in ex-Islay casks and refill Pedro Ximénez sherry wood.
Single Cask #692, 52.2% ABV– Bottled exclusively for Switzerland. Matured in an ex-IPA cask.
Single Cask Samples 1 & 2 – Yet to be bottled or released, these samples were drawn straight from the warehouse, especially for the Kendal Whisky Festival. We were fortunate enough to taste these during our visit to the distillery earlier this year.
