🔵 Notice to Riders 🔵

Could all riders participating in the Morebattle Ride and any of the rides during Civic week please make themselves aware of the updated Code of Conduct, available on our website - www.kelsocivicweek.co.uk

We also ask that riders download the 'what3words' app onto their phone. This allows the rider to identify their precise location should something happen and they need to be picked up or require emergency services.

🔹Horse and Public Separation

In light of a couple of previous incidents involving close interaction between horses and members of the public, it is now a key priority to maintain a clear and managed separation between horses and pedestrians at all times during the event. Horses can be unpredictable, particularly in unfamiliar or crowded environments, and even the calmest animal may become startled. To ensure the safety of both riders and the general public, strict access controls will be in place to prevent unnecessary mixing of horses with foot traffic or vehicles. Stewards will be stationed at all key access gates to oversee and manage the safe movement of horses. They will monitor the surrounding area and only allow horses to exit or move through gate points once it is deemed safe to do so-this means waiting until all members of the public and any nearby traffic have cleared the area. This coordinated approach will help to avoid congestion, reduce the risk of accidents, and ensure a smoother flow for everyone involved in the event. The cooperation of all participants and spectators is greatly appreciated in following steward instructions to keep safety at the forefront

We kindly ask that all participants in our events respect our stewards and the police and follow their instructions when required. They are all there for your safety.

Thank you for your continued support
