One evening, after a few glasses (maybe more than just a few 😉) of rosé and watching the sunset over the sea, we had a thought…

“What if we turned the Boathouse into a wedding venue?”

A magical place where couples could escape to a Scottish island and celebrate with the people they love most.

A magical place filled with wild beauty, sea air, candlelight, dancing, and unforgettable moments.

A magical place for many, full of nostalgia for some, childhood holidays and day trips, love and laughter at the forefront.

So we did.

Today, couples travel from all over the world to say “I do” at the Dougarie Boathouse - whether it’s an intimate elopement, a relaxed island wedding, or a magical weekend with family and friends.

And honestly… every wedding here feels like something out of a dream.

Some love stories deserve a setting as unforgettable as the moment itself 🤍

Last September, Rachel and Dale said “I do” with the sea stretching endlessly behind them, the Scottish breeze carrying laughter, and their closest people wrapped around them in love. Their ceremony unfolded outdoors, raw and beautiful, with little ones watching on and their beloved pup enjoying full VIP status (as it should be).

Just Sophia & Chris. No crowd. No pressure. Just love.

They stood hand in hand on the loch’s edge on the Dougarie Estate. Water gently lapping on the shore, hearts racing, the world completely still 🤍

No aisle.
