FT 4 - 0 Troggs - A disappointing afternoon for the ladies as we’re deservedly beat by a better Brighouse team on the day. Too many absentees today but proud of our young squads efforts regardless. Some exciting young players gaining valuable minutes that will only stand them in good stead moving into next season. They’ve developed incredibly well during their first season of open age football and we’re delighted with the progress they’re making. one more game to go as we finish the season away at next Sunday. 🩵💜

FT - 2 - 1 - Goals from and seal a - BIG 3 points in the context of our season in front of a crowd at The Rec - Leeds arrived knowing a point would be enough to secure promotion with Burley needing to win the last 3 games of our season in order to themselves finish in 2nd. A first half screamer from which beat the keeper from distance set us on our way before lobbed the keeper from close range following a well delivered set piece from a free kick. At 2-0 Troggs were comfortable. Second half however Leeds had a go and had chances with the woodwork hit and a late goal to set up a nervy final few minutes. However, the girls dug deep and saw the game out for a massive 3 points. 2 big ones to go! Thank you to everyone for their unbelievable support today. It really spurred the girls on

FT - 1 - 4 - 3 points on the road 🛣️ as the troggs go marching on. All four coming from ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ ⚽️ and all four were brilliant finishes in what was a deserved win. Back on home soil for our last home game of the season as we host next week. 🏠

FT - 5 - 3 devs - A pleasing 3 points against a young and high flying Brighouse. It seemed like it would be a long afternoon at the Rec, with Troggs finding themselves 2-0 down in little under 10 minutes but battled their way back into the game with good goals from Ellie and a brilliant 2 touch finish from Charlotte Keane after a brilliant through ball from Bethan Smith. Troggs again came from behind as they trailed 3-2before our Canadian queen Karlie Ashworth levelled just before half time. With nothing to separate the sides at ht the second half was a cagey affair but it was Burley who had the better of it chance wise. And another from Karlie Ashworth and a brilliant thundering strike from center half Charlie Smith from distance after a good assist and lay off from Becky Clark brought a 5-3 victory and the 3 points to Burley. FT - 7 - 1 - Nice to finally get a game in more than anything else. It’s been a while thanks to months of postponements ☔️ another wet and blustery afternoon at the rec but braces from and a goal from seal the points. Another week off for Easter next Sunday 🐣 before a busy end to the season with games coming thick and fast 💨 💜💙

FT - 3 - 4 - A great 3 points for the girls to take home from a foggy Wortley. A very even contest (as they always are against Wortley) Troggs took the lead in the first half through a goal in a half which Wortley really had the better of. However defensively Burley were excellent and managed to take the lead into ht. Second half Burley raced into a 2 goal lead with Ellie on the scoresheet but Wortley hit back soon after with a tap in from close range. Burley quickly regained their two goal advantage not long after however with another goal from with a really good , well worked team goal. Not to be outdone, Ellie too then got her brace with a great long range finish to make it 4-1 . Wortley however kept going and pulled two goals back to set up a nervy finish but Troggs saw the game home to bring the points back to Burley. A really pleasing result considering the very limited training and matches we’ve had over the past few months. Onto cup action at next week 💜🩵

Christmas doo went well 🍺 🍻 🍷 🍾 the girls 👧 even managed to recruit a new player ⚽️ always working 😉from all of us at Burley ladies. We wish you all a merry Christmas and we’ll be back raring to go in the new year. Exciting year ahead for the club with a big Christmas present on its way in the form of the new clubhouse 🏡 🩵💜💟

FT - 1 - 1 devs - The points are shared on a very wet and windy afternoon at the rec. A first half goal from our Canadian queen 🇨🇦 saw Troggs take a 1 nil lead but the visitors equalised with 20 mins left of the game to take home a share of the spoils. We’re off to dry out now 🌧️
