This time next week then folks, we'll be looking back on a weekend of VW overload. We now have quite a number of people camping on Friday night, the campsite is open from 6pm and as we've said all along, if you want to camp, you need to book as the campsite is small and pitches are limited.
There are still a couple of spaces available, cost is £20 per vehicle per night. So if there's 4 of you in a camper, it's just £5 each per night. Camping is available Fri, Sat and Sun....please get in touch ASAP if you want to camp.
The entrance to the campsite is at what3words location SLAP.BATS.PURPLE please take the left hand driveway to the top where someone will meet you.

Meet at Larkstone Cafe in Ilfracombe at 9am for breakfast. Access to the cafés large car park is at what3words location TELL.GRUNT.LOAF
The 'North Shore 74 'cruise will start at 10:30. Entry is £5 per vehicle and all vehicles will get a free sticker. Extra stickers are available @ £2 each. Cash is preferable as its not a brilliant phone signal down there.
Each vehicle will be given a map of the cruise, showing the route, mileage and the various stops we will be making. The cruise will not be a procession, there won't be marshal's at junctions or 'red light' right-of-way, we will all set off at the same time but will soon fragment. There will however be a number of regrouping stops along the way so we can all stay relatively close. These stops will be identified on the map. For those who want to use sat-nav too, I'll send a list of locations later in the week.
Lunch will be at the incredible Resto Haus jn Barnstaple. The Bo Jangles cafe at Resto Haus is superb with a great menu and some awesome cakes! This will be followed by a visit to the VW museum and display....bring your cameras, you don't want yo miss this!
The cruise will terminate back at Treetops Camping. The evening is then yours, either grab a few beers, sink into a sofa (yes there are sofas on the campsite) and stay to enjoy the bbq and music, or take yourself off to Ilfracombe to enjoy the Ilfracombe Beer Festival with loads of ales and live music and watch the sun go down.

The seafront VW gathering will be on the Victorian Pleasure Ground in Ilfracombe. Access to the site is at what3words SKIPPERS.BUNGALOWS.RETRACED and there will be marshal's on hand to arrange parking. Doors open at 11:30, please follow the marshal's instructions, this is a public space and safety is paramount. Once parked, vehicles should remain on site until 3pm, again to reduce risk. If you need to leave before 3pm, please let a marshal know and you will be escorted off site.
Ilfracombe has loads to do on a sunny day, pubs, cafés, beaches, attractions and some amazing short walks. The Ilfracombe Beer Festival is on all day again so plenty of ways to waste a few hours.
Sunday night, back at Treetops Camping and Monday is then a Bank Holiday and is all yours to do what you like. The campsite needs to be vacated by midday.
Any questions, please get in contact, and if not, see you on Friday at Treetops Camping or on Saturday at Larkstone Café.
All the best, The North Shore team!
