Shepley Spring Festival

Shepley Spring Festival A weekend of traditional music from home and abroad at this friendly little festival in the Yorkshir

Shepley Spring Festival has been running since 2007 and has built a reputation as one of the great little events early in the festival calendar. Expect the very best music and singing from some of the best national and local artists. In 2019 we found a new location at Storthes Hall Park just a couple of miles from Shepley village. This new venue has the advantage of indoor accommodation and indoor

performance space as well as camping and caravanning for those who prefer it. We are planning a few changes to the layout of the festival, not least the move to a larger campsite just a few minutes walk away along a woodland lane.

You may have already realised by now but I am just letting you all know that there will not be a Shepley Spring Festival in 2023. Several different circumstances came together to make it not possible this year. If you would like to get involved and help organise an event in 2024 please get in touch.

Excited to listen to all this...thanks Allan!

Gaelic Singing workshop....
Linn is a Gaelic singer and Medallist at the Royal National Mod. During lockdown she has been running a monthly Learn-Gaelic Song workshop every month on zoom and also led workshops at virtual folk festivals from the USA to Australia. She co-founded and hosts a monthly Celtic-language zoom sing, all welcome! With the start of live festivals, she has started leading in-person workshops, and will be providing all learning materials. No prior knowledge of Gaelic needed. Come and give it a go! Sunday afternoon at the Football Club.

Looking forward to seeing you again Maddie and hearing your new songs.

Our Story

Shepley Spring Festival is a traditional music weekend based in the West Yorkshire. Established in 2007 the festival has been in the lovely little village of Shepley on the edge of the Peak Distract but in 2019 we are moving to the comfort of an indoor venue set in 40 acres of woodland about 2 miles from our original home.

Our 2019 festival will continue to celebrate great music with great people.

This year as well as concerts there will be more workshops plus music and singing sessions for you to join in, morris dancing, a small cinema on site, children’s events and competitions (musical and table tennis!!). For the first time we have some ensuite accommodation on site as well as plenty of room for camping, caravans and motorhomes.

Edward II headline Saturday night and other artists include, Andy Cutting solo and with his band Topette!, Belshazzar’s Feast, Lady Maisery and new festival patron Jack Rutter....
