Thank you to everyone who has volunteered for tomorrows event. See everyone there! 08:00 for set up, all other volunteers 08:30. First Timers Welcome at 08:50 on the grass opposite the tennis courts, main briefing & go at 9!
We’ll remind you again but don’t forget we are cancelled next week (13th) due to another event in the park.

This week is ‘Volunteer Week’ & we want to thank everyone that has ever volunteered with us, whether that was a one off, not for some time or you volunteer most weeks - THANK YOU! ❤️
As we head toward the weekend we’re working behind the scenes as always to ensure we put on a safe & fun event! We need lots of volunteers to do this & thank you to those of you who have already got your name down.

🤩Nine hundred and sixteen finishers! 916!

That was a bit warm, wasn't it? Thank you for looking after yourselves, being sensible and keeping cool where possible.

The sun shone ☀ on our THIRD HIGHEST EVER attended event today - stats fans might like to know that it's also the first time we've ever landed in the 900's.

This was in no doubt helped by the magnificent folk from local club Stadium Runners who came out in force to commemorate their friend and fellow club member John Cottam. John was a stalwart of our running community, a beloved parkrun (and juniors) regular and it was lovely to see such a good turnout in his memory today ❤ 🤍

⭐We welcomed 75 first timers to Huddersfield, of which 38 were complete ever first timers to parkrun! Well done - we hope to see you back soon. 28 people finished their tricky second parkrun. Welcome back!
They were supported and encouraged by 75 superstar volunteers 👏🌟

83 speedy people got PBs too 👏👏👏

Tomorrow at our parkrun we will be celebrating the life of John Cottam, a long standing Huddersfield parkrunner. John was also a member of the Stadium Runners who will be out in force.

We all remember John with love and affection - see you in the morning for a fitting tribute.

Another parkrun done & didn’t you all do exceptionally well?!
Decent running conditions for event number 682 saw 746 participants cross the finish line today, supported by 69 amazing volunteers!
A whopping 96 of you got Personal Bests today, it was brilliant to hear our PB bell ringing away!
63 first timers/visitors joined us at Greenhead park, we hope you join us again sometime, bring a friend! 🥰 and 46 clubs were represented!

As we head toward the summer months, where our regular volunteers head off on well deserved holidays, please do consider volunteering instead of a run, it’s very rewarding & great fun, guaranteed!

Colin is your RD next week, let him know if you’d like to volunteer in the usual parkrun ways.
