Bewl Swimrun Finds a New Home with Gritty Rascals Events
As Keen As Mustard and Gritty Rascals Events are pleased to announce the transfer of Bewl Swimrun from As Keen As Mustard to Gritty Rascals, marking an exciting new chapter for this much-loved swimrun event.
Since its inception in 2018, Bewl Swimrun has captured the hearts of athletes with its stunning reservoir setting, choice of courses and welcoming community atmosphere. As Keen As Mustard Events has nurtured the event with passion, growing it to one of the largest swimrun events in the UK, and Gritty Rascals is honoured to carry that legacy forward.
“We’re thrilled to take on Bewl from Nicky and Chelsey,” said Gary, Director of Gritty Rascals Events.
“Bewl Swimrun has always stood for adventure, camaraderie and a real love of the outdoors — it’s got that mix of grit and joy that defines the sport. We’re committed to keeping that spirit alive, and delighted to be able to bring a Gritty Rascals experience to another corner of the UK.”
Nicky and Chelsey Co-Founders of As Keen As Mustard Events, added:
“Bewl has always held a special place in our hearts — it’s such a beautiful venue and the community that’s grown around it is second to none. We’re so pleased it’s going to a team who share our passion for swimrun and our ethos of keeping events friendly, inclusive and full of adventure. Handing over Bewl to Gritty Rascals feels like passing it into very capable hands. We’ve loved watching Bewl grow and we know Gary and his team will build on that energy with their own style and creativity. It’s exciting to see swimrun expanding and evolving across the UK.”
Participants can expect the 2026 edition of Bewl Swimrun to run on very similar lines, with familiar routes, distances, and the same warm, inclusive vibe that makes the event so special. Gritty Rascals will continue to offer a range of race options to suit all levels, from seasoned swimrunners to first-time adventurers. The biggest change for 2026 is a shift to earlier in the season — 7th June.
The transfer reflects the shared friendship, values, commitment to growing the sport and supporting the community of both As Keen As Mustard and Gritty Rascals Events, and both organisations are working closely to ensure a smooth transition.
