It is with regret that we must announce there will be no Harmony Live festival in June 2020 due to a lack of funding & support plus circumstances beyond our control.
Thank you to everyone who has supported and helped this charitable cause - it will undoubtedly be a big loss to the towns' cultural calendar & to the many local businesses who have benefitted financially from it.
Although we can never say "never", so if more funding, sponsorship and support became available, we would consider continuing.

Meet Henry Graham. A lot of people mistakenly think Garry organises the festival with Mari (probably cos he's so well known + they are married + he sells tickets & promotes it) BUT it's actually Henry who does the lions share of the organising with Mari.
Henry also manages Homebird Cafe on the High St. Next time you're in please thank Henry for all his hard voluntary work for Harmony Live - he's an absolute gem of a guy! Credit where credit is due :-)

A massive thank you to Brazilia, Skinners Bakery & Knotts Bakery for supplying food for all our bands’ ‘Green Room’ at Harmony this year, a great community effort.

Our Story

Harmony Live, Holywood takes place annually usually on the first weekend in June. The main festival venue is on the pitch at Holywood Rugby Club with other venues throughout the town. The festival was founded and is directed by local Holywood resident and business woman Mari Jackson who holds an MMBE Dip in Managing a Music Business Enterprise. Mari began the initiative completely by herself in 2015 & 2016 but since its success brought rapid growth, she is now ably assisted by eleven other community volunteers. Everyone (including Mari) working on the festival is unpaid and happy to undertake this charitable work for Holywood all of which has turned Harmony Live into a wonderful weekend event bringing much revenue to the beautiful seaside town of Holywood. Previous headline acts include The Boomtown Rats (with Bob Geldof), Reef, Toploader, The Alabama 3, Rews, Ryan McMullan, The Bootleg Beatles, Doghouse, Celtic Soul, Duke Special, Hot House Flowers and Gareth Dunlop. Holywood Harmony Festival is a not for profit Company Ltd by guarantee & is a registered charity (No NIC106398 on the Northern Ireland Charities Commission). The festival committees backgrounds consist of event management, music, law, media, education, marketing, IT & performance, all of whom are working diligently to make the biggest event in Holywood as successful as possible. The committee aim to put the town firmly on the map for attracting tourism, boosting the economy, providing employment, youth development in the arts, and much more.
