Lead by a cutting-edge design, they not only enhance the dining experience but also set a new standard for culinary elegance. What started out as an observation for Aaron during his degree in London has evolved into a full tableware range. He realised that a lot of meals were being eaten without the use of a knife. He and his three flatmates were all chasing their last few bites around the standar

d circular plates. This would not only be functional as it would act like a knife, but would be a different aesthetic, a talking point, a new way of thinking. The observation lay dormant until 2011 when the resourceful, entrepreneurial air of South Africa finally urged him to pursue the idea further. The original 25cm “pasta” dish was born and was shown at Design Indaba 2012. The plates sold out at the expo, but equally importantly customer feedback was that they wanted a full range of plates in various sizes. This would allow different sizes to be used in combination, as well as giving users a broader spectrum to choose from, depending on what was being served. The range now consists of five plates, four serving boards, and a cappuccino cup & saucer.

After much consideration, I have made the difficult decision to close the ceramics side of the business. It has been an honour to create the dinnerware range and I had no idea that my initial observation in London all those years ago whilst at art college, would evolve into such a large product range as well as giving me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people along the way. Unfortunately different factors such as Brexit, tariffs, cost of production and shipping have made continuing the business in the current climate unsustainable.

Closing at this moment will also allow me to focus fully on the woodworking and bespoke furniture side of my business.

Amazing to help people affected by a stroke.

Amazing week last week. Always a pleasure to hear customers coming back year after year saying “we use them everyday”. That’s what the aim is for the range. Multi functional everyday use.
