That's a wrap for 2026 ! We hope you all had a fabulous time. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who rocked up to marshall and keep you all safe. Thank you all for bringing your A game, your smiles and laughter. We loved having you all over to play at our house. Shout out to Vie Medic Services Ltd who didn't have a single casualty to treat and that's how we like it. We are exhausted and will work through the photos to get them up as soon as we can (our broadband is pants though and we also have to tear down the course and get on with some farming) but in the meantime here are the first ones courtesy of the lovely Keith Haughton. If you aren't on these, don't worry, there are more to come. It certainly looks warmer on the photos than it was in real life. You lot were fabulous!

Race Day Tomorrow! We're ready. Are you? Here are a few pointers and directions if your race day information email is hiding in your spam box:

We are at Heathylee House Farm, Hollinsclough, Nr Buxton, SK17 0RD (that’s a zero, not an oh)

We are actually midway between SK17 0RD and 0RG, so if you haven’t spotted the parking field, then just go a little further as you are probably coming in from the Buxton direction. You’ll see a stretch of open moorland on one side of the road (no dry stone walls) and a layby on the other side, where the entrance to our parking field is. There will be a marshall to direct you to the parking. He may park you on the side of the road if the ground is wet and boggy, or park you safely in the field if conditions are good.

Parking is totally free. Spectators are very welcome and there is no charge. Bring your bag or keys down to the farmyard. You’ll want to put some dry clothes on as soon as you are finished.

Registration open from 09:30:

Once you are parked up. Follow the signs down to the farmyard where you can register your arrival. It is a 5 minute (10 mins if you are taking your time) walk downhill to the farmyard. So please leave yourself a little time before your wave time to get sorted. If you are late, don’t worry, you can just join in the next wave, or set off when it suits you.

We require all participants to sign a liability waiver form. Nothing scary, it just highlights that you are aware that there are risks involved in running cross country and tackling obstacles. If you have any specific medical requirements, please let the ladies know on registration, so that we can inform the medics, or wear a bracelet highlighting your condition.

We will provide the forms, just sign it and hand to the ladies on registration and they will give you your half buff running number. You will be required to wear this whilst on the course. You can wear it as a wristband, neck gaiter or even a headband.

Name Changes:

If you wish to change the name of an entry, no problem. Just let the registration desk know on the day and fill out your liability waiver form in the correct name. There is no charge and we are happy for you to make last minute changes to your entry.

Bag Drop:

Ladies on registration can keep your keys or a bag whilst you are running. Please don’t leave anything valuable with them as the bag drop will not be 100% secure. They will just keep it at the back of manned (or womaned?) tables until you come to collect it.

Catering Facilities:

There will be portaloos on site in the farmyard. Gary from Mycock Butchers in Buxton is back with his fabulous burgers. Bacon butties, tea, coffee etc. Bring cash as mobile phone coverage is patchy, so there will be no card facilities available.

Changing Facilities:

We’ll put up a couple of little marquees for you to change in. There will only be a cold water hose to wash off the worst of the mud, but you might like to change into something dry as soon as you are finished.

Water:

There are 3 points on the course where you can get water. Down by the bridge over the river, at the top of the hill by the farm lane (you’ll pass this point as you walk down) and in the start and finish area.

What to Wear:

Our course is cross country and in places will be muddy and slippy. Wear trainers with the best grip you have. Cotton clothing can be cold and uncomfortable when it gets wet. Wear polyester, or technical clothing as this dries quickly and doesn’t hold moisture. Your clothing may not recover from the ordeal, so wear your old gear. Try to cover arms and legs with a thin layer too.

Marshalls & Medics:

There will be marshalls and medics on the course. The marshalls are there to help and will all have radios. If you get into difficulty on the course, ask the marshalls for help. They can call a medic or arrange assistance for you. You don’t have to attempt any obstacles you don’t feel comfortable with. Just walk round them. It’s your run, so do it your way and have fun.

We’ll be seeing you all real soon. Can’t wait !

Even if you are superhuman it's going to take you at least an hour to get round the first time .... leave yourself time to go again before the 2pm cutoff.
