Not long to go now until Race Day a week tomorrow! Race Instructions will be sent out tomorrow.
On another note, there are going to be some exciting changes to the event next year!
This is the last year that the event will be a road half marathon. Next year we are going to switch it to an almost all trail event, that will re-feature a 10km version again too, plus a children's event too...and... a bike version race too!
Also the start and finish location will change, along with a few other tweaks and additions (and if there is interest, maybe even a marathon version...!)
Once this year's event has concluded and we hear back regarding logistics from those linked to the 2027 version, we will update you :-)
So in a nutshell, 2027 will be a Trail Half Marathon with more!
And just for now it will be known as its working title as the "Hitchin AONB Run Festival".
It will be sad to see the road version of the half go, but this is a chance to resurrect our AONB versions that we know many people love and have been asking about for quite a while now. We put on the trail versions of these distances a few years ago, and now we feel is a great time to bring them back!
Oh, and we as Burnt Hare Events will be partnering up for this Festival of sports with Gayle Harvey PT (Huzzah!) and of course with our great sponsors and friends The Car Agents / The Cycle Agents!

PPS The Hitchin Triathlon is on the first weekend in July and spaces are filling up FAST with a limit on the numbers we can have, so don't miss out!
