If you can spare the attention from turning into a well-done steak, it's a new month next week, and that includes the First Tuesday.

Joint us on Tuesday 2nd for our month evening of shared music and constructive anarchy. Whether you sing, play or just want to listen, you're very welcome to come along and join in. All music is welcome - as long as you can do it spontaneously without a sound-system or an autotune, it's folk.

We start about 8pm and finish sometime after 11pm at the Great Eastern in Hertford. I'll see you there.

Once you've done being jolly and seeing in the May in the traditional way, it's the First Tuesday of the month. And that means another kind of tradition - an evening of great music, great chat and (probably) great chip butties at the Great Eastern in Hertford.

Everyone's welcome, whether you want to sing, play or just listen, and we're not too particular about what kind of music we listen to, as long as you can play it in a crowded bar. And don't worry if you're an absolute beginner - we'll give you all the support you need.

We kick off round about 8pm and go on till some point after 11. So why not come along for a great evening?

You might not realise, but Easter is a five-day holiday this year. Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Day, Easter Monday - and First Tuesday.

This is the day when, in a tradition going back to ancient pagan rituals, music lovers gather in the Great Eastern in Hertford for an evening of music, talk and (probably) chip butties.

And you're invited. Bring along your voice, your instruments or just your ears - you'll be welcome. Pretty much any music is welcome, as long as it's live and genuine. We kick off at around 8pm, but be early to set a good seat.

After all, you wouldn't want to break a tradition, would you?

The last couple of weeks have been "challenging", and I've realised I've left it very late to post about the First Tuesday. But we're already into March, which means it's this Tuesday we have our monthly session at the Great Eastern Tavern in Hertford.

Everyone's welcome, whether you want to sing, play or just listen, and we're happy to hear whatever you want to play. Just come and enjoy yourself.

We start around 8pm and finish when we get kicked out or run out of energy. See you on Tuesday.

Even though, as we all know, January has nine million days, it's finally coming to an end. Which means the First Tuesday in February is coming up.

Join us on the 3rd at the Great Eastern in Hertford for an evening of great music and great craic. Bring along your instrument(s), your voice or simply your ears and enjoy a great session where anything goes, as long as it's live and genuine.

We start at 8pm(ish) and carry on till some point after 11 - depends on when we run out of steam. Come and enjoy an evening of music so great that even the pub's dogs join in.

Tomorrow will not only be the New Year - it'll also be the beginning of January. And that means the First Tuesday of January is coming up fast.

As always, we'll be gathering in the Great Eastern Tavern in Hertford for an evening of great music and craic, and you're invited. Yes, you there at the back - this invitation is for you.

Come and play or sing whatever you feel like - there's no judgement. Or you're also welcome to come to listen and join in the choruses. After all the festive songs in December, someone might bring along a New Year song - or, more likely, everyone will play whatever they feel like. So no change there.

We'll be kicking off around 8pm on Tuesday 6th January and going on till some point after 11pm. Everyone's welcome - the more the merrier. See you there.

It'll be December next week, and that means the First Tuesday is on the 2nd.

And, of course, we'll be gathering at the Great Eastern in Hertford for an evening of songs, music and fun. Everyone's wlecome, whether you want to sing/play or just listen. And don't worry if you don't think you're polished enough - that's not what the evening's about.

We kick off sometime after 8pm and carry until Kevin starts dropping heavy hints. No doubt there'll be a few Christmas or Solstice songs, but don't worry - it isn't compulsory.

The month's been going so quickly that I only just realised we're nearly up to the First Tuesday in November. That means we'll be having our usual gathering at the Great Eastern in Hertford to make music and generally have fun.

Everyone's welcome to come along, regardless of whether you sing, play or just want to listen. Play whatever you want, and don't worry if you've never performed in public before - you'll be among friends.

We kick after sometime after 8pm on Tuesday 4th November and finish sometime after 11pm (probably on the same evening). So come along for some early musical fireworks. No fee, no pressure, no autotune.

It's the 1st of October on Wednesday, which means we have another week to wait for the First Tuesday. On the 7th, we'll be gathering at the Great Eastern for an evening of great music and great craic.

Bring your voice, instruments and ears along - in whatever combination you want to use them. Play whatever you love, as long as it with no PA, no razzamatazz and no autotune. If you love it, we'll love it.

We kick off at precisely sometime a bit after 8pm, so get there in good time for the best chairs. And we go on till precisely sometime after 11pm.
