May was another brilliant month for the HMBiz community ๐
From networking and learning, to honest conversations and inspiring events, it was a busy few weeks across Herefordshire.
โจ HMBiz 4 Women
We started the month with our HMBiz 4 Women session at the Shell Store, where a fantastic group of women joined us for a morning of networking, coffee, cake and conversation. A big thank you to Al Price, who delivered a brilliant session on the importance of being seen, creating clarity in your message and standing out for the right reasons.
๐ป Lunch & Learn
Our online Lunch & Learn session gave businesses the chance to hear from Michelle Ward from our Platinum Partners Indelible IP. Michelle shared practical advice on Intellectual Property and why it was just as important for smaller businesses as it was for larger organisations.
๐ Menโs Mental Health Awareness Evening
We were proud to support the Menโs Mental Health Awareness Evening at the Shell Store, organised by HMBizโs Ollie Beale and Alex Knowles from Andys Man Club Hereford. The evening brought together powerful personal stories, open conversations and important insight from speakers including One Voice Counselling, JAMO, and Mike McLeod from The Baton of Hope. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported such an important event.
โ Drop-In Breakfast
Our Drop-In Breakfast was another relaxed and informal opportunity for local businesses to connect over free toast, freshly ground coffee and good conversation.
๐ก Womenโs Summit
We also hosted a brilliant Womenโs Summit at the beautiful Belmont Abbey. The room was full of inspiring women, with six fantastic speakers sharing their journeys, skills and advice. A huge thank you to Emily Witcher, Becky Wall BEM (Loo of the Year Awards), Fliss Falconer, Sally Gibson (Dawleys), Mark Perkins and Kim Green (NMITE) for being part of such an inspiring day.
๐ฅ Signature Breakfast
To round off the month, our Signature Breakfast at Belmont Abbey brought together a room full of professionals for a morning of networking, breakfast and a great presentation from Adam Kusnierek (Hawkins Priday Accountants Hereford). It was also fantastic to welcome some very special young guests, award three new Platinum Partner badges, and present membership certificates and badges to two new members.
A massive thank you to everyone who attended, spoke, supported and got involved throughout May.
Hereโs to another busy month ahead. Check out our upcoming events below๐
