🎬 Don’t miss out on the feel-good family comedy of 2025: Rental Family!

Struggling to find purpose, an American actor, Brendan Fraser lands an unusual gig with a Japanese agency to play stand-in roles for strangers. As he immerses himself in his clients' worlds, he begins to form genuine bonds that blur the lines between performance and reality. Confronting the moral complexities of his work, he soon rediscovers purpose, belonging, and the quiet beauty of human connection. Set in Japan, it captures Japanese beautifully. Brendan Fraser gives the film the heart it needs in this feel good story about connection and belonging. Why not give it a go. Come along and catch up with friends and neighbours.

✨ Why not give it a go? Come along, relax, and enjoy an evening with friends and neighbours.

2025 was a busy year for us at the hall, with several major renovation projects completed to improve comfort, efficiency and appearance.

In August 2025 alone, three key projects were finished:

1. Repointing the gable end of the Old Billiard Room, restoring the brickwork and protecting it from the elements.

2. Replacing the water-damaged panelling at the back of the stage, greatly enhancing the look of the main hall.

3. Installing underfloor insulation throughout the main hall to reduce heat loss and make the space warmer and more energy-efficient.

Projects one and two were fully funded from hall reserves, costing around £9,200 in total. Project three, costing just under £8,000, was made possible thanks to generous support from a Tarmac Landfill Communities Fund grant - without which the work couldn’t have gone ahead, so a huge thank you from us all at the hall.

We are excited for what 2026 has in store!
