Thank you to Rebellion Beer Co., who kindly donated a barrel at Hemel Old Town Beer Festival 2026 🫡💛

Whilst doors have closed on this year’s event, work goes on as our fab volunteers clear site today, restoring St.Mary’s to its conventional loveliness. As we tot up scores-on-the-door, we’ll take a short break from posting. Worry not - this year’s figures and details of Hemel Old Town Beer Festival 2027 will all be revealed soon.

An annual tradition now, we celebrate with a shot of all of our tireless, selfless and bloody brilliant volunteers. Thanks to them - a million times over.

🚨WE ARE LOW ON BEER 🚨

Hemel Hempstead you have BLOWN us away with your support this weekend.

Having increased stocks from last year, you have almost drunk us dry 🍻 in an unprecedented display of support. Thank you so much.

Due to low beer stocks, entry is free and we will stay open so long as we can serve beer, cider, perry and prosecco.

TODAY IS FAMILY DAY with under-18s admitted, also free-of-charge.

Any and all updates will be posted as things happen.

Hemel, thank you so much again and we hope to see you for one final session today.

Our community beer festival is back THIS WEEKEND at St.Mary’s Church in Hemel Hempstead’s historic old town, with doors open from midday tomorrow. 🤩

Accessible from the High Street’s parade of brilliant shops, pubs and eateries, our Grade-I listed venue is entered from the arches adjacent to the Old Town Hall.

Walkways at the foot of Gadebridge Park will be shut, though vista views will be unaffected, giving drinkers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a tipple in the beer-garden, perhaps accompanied by a tasty dish from our celebrated street food outfits. 🥙🍃🌳

We have a number of on-the-door tickets for walk in punters, though naturally, the only way to guarantee entry is via advanced booking. We will announce session sell-outs if and when they happen, so no news = we have more space, head down!

We are weatherproof ☀️

The interior of St. Mary’s Church is spacious and welcoming, and the church’s outside vistas over Gadebridge Park are quite simply fantastic.

We are dog friendly 🐶

Beng a community festival, we are of course dog friendly, though attendees may be advised that dogs are best suited in our large outside beergarden area, and kept on a short lead due to tight spaces at peak times.

More than real ale 🥂🍎🍐

Whilst we love to champion cask beer, we are proud to serve locally-made lager, a raspberry sour beer on keg, alongside both flavoured and real cider + perry. For the first time this year, our new FIZZ BAR will serve presecoo by the glass. We have three gluten-free beers this year, marked on beer list both in-print and online. 📲

Friday sees Hemel Rock Choir and Henry performing, with special guest Mayor of Dacorum Garrick Stevens officially opening the festival!
