Pride is a celebration of love, identity, community, and the freedom to be yourself.

We're proud to support and celebrate the LGBTQ+ members of our Helstonbury family and the wider community throughout Pride Month and beyond.

If you're looking for a local way to support or celebrate, the Pride Picnic at the Boating Lake Coronation Park Helston on the 20th June promises a relaxed and welcoming afternoon for everyone. Check out the poster below for details.

🎧 WANTED: Silent Disco Playlist DJs for Helstonbury!🪩

Do you have the playlist that gets everyone on the dance floor? We need YOU! 🕺💃

We’re looking for 4 playlist DJs to join our silent disco stage across the weekend! 2 for Saturday night (with our amazing resident DJ Alice May) and 2 for Sunday night (with the fantastic The Soul Reverend, back for his second year!). Three channels, three vibes, one incredible dance floor!

No experience needed…there are no vinyl or mixing desks for these spots, just your playlist and your passion. From Taylor to Tammy, Beyoncé to Bee Gees, Dua to Diana , Cher to Chappell, Otis to Olivia, any genre welcome. If you’re 18 to 80+ and you’ve got the tunes, we want you! 🎶

🎤 Already an experienced DJ and want to showcase your work? Even better! record your own mix onto your device and bring it on the night!

🔵💙 BLUEBELLS ARE CHAMPIONS! 💙🔵
Helston Athletic FC U9 Bluebells have won the Cornwall Youth League U9 Girls Cup 🏆 after an absolutely nail-biting penalty shootout following a THREE ALL draw!
These young women showed composure, teamwork, and pure grit to hold their nerve and bring that trophy home and we couldn’t be more proud of every single one of them.
Helstonbury are honoured to kit out these amazing girls, and moments like this are exactly why we do it. 💫
Huge congratulations to the players, coaches, families, and everyone at Helston Athletic FC. Bluebells in bloom! 🌸⚽

🌿🌸 Happy Flora Day, Helston! 🌸🌿
The bluebells and the Lilly of the valley are out, the band is ready and the streets are about to come alive with that magic that only happens once a year.
We have it on good authority that a very special member of the Helstonbury family will be taking to the streets for the midday dance today 👀 can you guess who? He should be absolutely fighting fit after conquering that marathon for Brain Tumour Research, so we reckon his legs have got a few more miles in them yet! 💪🎶 also, don’t miss another Helstonbury brother, the Mayor of St. John’s in the Hal-an-tow!

Congratulations and huge thanks to Helston Flora Day Association for working their magic once again ⭐️

〓〓 🌿 Here we go! 🌿 〓〓

It’s the 1st of May and tradition is alive as Helston Town Band take to streets to play the iconic Furry Dance!

By this time Friday, the greenery will be up, the streets will be full, and the whole town will be swept up in a wave of celebration. Flora Day is almost here, and we cannot WAIT! 🌸🎉

Catch the band again this evening at 7pm when they’ll be doing it all over again!

🥇💙 HE DID IT. TURTZ RAN LONDON. FOR SIMON.
We are not crying. You are crying. 😭💙
Paul “Turtz” Turton has crossed the finish line of the TCS London Marathon. 26.2 miles done, on the 15th anniversary of the day his beloved brother Simon was lost to brain cancer.

Paul said it was the messages, the support and the incredible generosity of every single one of you that kept his legs moving when he thought he couldn’t go on. That is YOU. You did that. 💙
An absolutely staggering £4,890 raised for Brain Tumour Research…almost £1,500 above his original target.

🏃IT’S RACE DAY!!! GO TURTZ GO!!
Today is the day. 26th April 2026. 15 years to the day since Simon Turton lost his battle with brain cancer and his brother Paul “Turtz” Turton is lacing up, pinning on his number and running 26.2 miles through London in his memory.
Look at that running shirt. Look at Simon’s photo on it. 💙

Let’s give Paul a big boost of Helstonbury good luck and let him know that he’s in our thoughts today! 🤗

To everyone who has donated, shared, commented and cheered will see by his videos how much it means…absolutely everything. You have raised an incredible £4,505 for Brain Tumour Research.

Paul has just picked up his race number and tomorrow it all becomes very real! 26.2 miles through London for Brain Tumour Research, in memory of his beloved brother Simon.

HE’S DONE IT!! TARGET SMASHED!! (And more!)

While you were watching Part 1, something incredible happened.
Paul “Turtz” Turton hit his £3,500 target which means funding a full day of Brain Tumour Research in Simon’s memory 💙

And the even more beautiful news? That money has already covered tile number 10 at the Brain Tumour Research centre. A permanent tile representing a day of research. For Simon. Forever.

We are so unbelievably proud of you Turtz. And we know Simon is too. 💙
