Squashbox Theatre has a brand new show - and it's unlike anything Craig has done before!

Secrets of the Hidden Realm opens the archives of a mysterious Camborne organisation and asks: what exactly has been living in Cornwall's hidden dimension?

The answer involves puppetry, folklore, and a fair amount of absurd comedy.

Friday 19 June, 7pm. Trevow Chapel, Helston. Tickets from £5. Recommended age 10+

“Delicious, captivating, funny, sexy, and brilliant!” Britain's rivers are in crisis. But they're also full of magic. 🌊

Troubled Waters is a spellbinding hour of ancient myth, river folklore and contemporary storytelling — performed live at Trevow Chapel on 13 June.
Leaping salmon, fishtail women, sacred springs and mythical raves. Stories that reconnect us to the rivers we're losing.

“A beautiful journey that blends traditional storytelling with modern language”

Tickets from £11 — flexible pricing so everyone can come.

Hundreds of FREE seedlings to give away, a day of free family story adventures, writers recording your stories of nostalgic Helston and your last chance to join Bobo's Giant Seedling Trail! This Saturday 30th May is busy at Coronation Park Helston! Here's everything that's happening:

🌱 FREE Seedling Giveaway - from 10.30am, Events Square
To celebrate Bobo's Giant Seedling Trail and thanks to the lovely team at the Helston-based company, Rocket Gardens, we've got hundreds and hundreds of grow-at-home seedlings to give away to families. When they're gone, they're gone - so don't be late!

📖 Story Quest Day - 10am to 3pm, all around the park
The grand finale of Trevow Helston and The Writers' Block project, Story Lab! Solve riddles, hunt down hidden objects, create your own pocket stories, invent the wildest, wackiest characters you can imagine, and enjoy songs and tales from the fabulous Story Republic. Free, all day, no booking needed - just turn up!

✍️ Share your Helston story
Professional writers and story gatherers Amanda Harris & Anna Murphy will be in the park as part of o-region From the Horse's Mouth project, and they'd love to hear YOUR Helston memories and tales. Everyone welcome - come and tell them a story!

And the fun doesn't stop on Saturday… Bobo's Giant Seedling Trail runs right up to 4pm Sunday. Pick up a free trail map from shops around town, track down all the community-made seedlings hiding in the windows, then collect your prize at Lakeside Cafe.

We'll see you in the park! 🌞

"Good"
- 6 year old they assume was called Barney, or possibly Jake.

Woo hoo! We're helping Cirk Hes and Carn to Cove bring 'Fail, Fail, Win', a circus-inspired comic family show to Helston at the end of the week.

"Uplifting, nurturing and agelessly relevant. Join the adventure and explore what happens inside Loz's brain when she does a big FAIL."

Meet a cast of puppet friends: professor Steven Chimpington - scientist, raconteur, critic; and Colin the Crab, anarchist, physical theatre practitioner (LeCoq trained), oh and of course Sven Svenstoferson, Swedish Astronaut and CBT coach.

Age guide: great for 3-10 year olds. Unsuitable for 15 year olds. And they're strict on that.

Looking for some family friendly fun in Helston next Saturday? Then pop along to THIS! It's going to be Epic!! Tickets available on the door, or in advance on our website events page (see our 'About' section, for a link :-)).Oh and bring a chair with you if you need one.
