It all starts in the dark…
Gravel Rocks weekend fires into life on 10th July Friday night at 21:30 with Gravel Rocks in the Dark.

Choose your challenge:
🏃 6km run
🚴 10km ride
…but with a twist, timed sections along the way will keep you honest, whether you’re chasing speed or just soaking up the atmosphere.
Running and riding in the dark is something special. The trails feel different, the senses sharpen, and every light ahead pulls you forward. It’s exciting, a little bit wild… and absolutely not to be missed.
Then comes Saturday — a full day of running or riding, building on the night before. Across both days, it’s the rider or runner with the shortest combined time on the timed segments who earns their spot at the top of the podium 🏆, before relaxing back for the evenings entertainment from Brands, Bands, and DJ's.
So bring your legs, your lights, and a sense of adventure… this is Gravel Rocks.

Set against the incredible backdrop of Duncombe Park, Gravel Rocks is lucky enough to take you somewhere truly special, rolling parkland, ancient woodland, and views that make you forget you’re mid-race (briefly 😅).

We get to run and ride across private land that’s rarely open to the public, a privilege that never gets old and one we don’t take for granted.

Across the event, you’ll run or ride approximately 5 timed stages, spread across incredible routes that test speed, skill, and grit.

And it all kicks off in the best way possible…

• 10km gravel ride or 6km trail run
• Raced under the night sky
• Includes 2 timed stages for each route

One of the standout sections of the Gravel Rocks running routes takes you deep into the trees, where the trail tightens, focus sharpens, and every step feels immersive. It’s fast, fun, and pure trail-running magic.

Gravel Rocks isn’t just for riders and runners — it’s for supporters too (animal or human)
If you’ve got a family member or friend riding or running and you’re at a loose end, come along and join us at 'no extra cost'. There’s plenty happening throughout the weekend to keep everyone entertained.
Enjoy brand activations, take on the orienteering course, join the 6km walk, a town quiz walk, or simply soak up the atmosphere, bird of prey centre, feel part of the action with the DJ and Band at night. With so much to see and do both on-site and around the local area, it’s the perfect excuse to explore.
