🌞🎉 We’re getting that Friday feeling... and it’s only EIGHT days until the Helensburgh Midsummer Festival! 🎉🌞

The countdown is well and truly on, and we’re buzzing with excitement about all the fantastic traders, performers and community groups joining us in Colquhoun Square next weekend! 🌞🎵🍴

First up, we’re delighted to welcome Abou from Highballers Bars, who many of you will recognise from the Helensburgh Beer & Gin Festival last month. 🍹🌴

This time, he’ll be bringing the flavours of the Caribbean to the heart of Helensburgh, serving up a delicious menu including:
🌮 Jerk Tacos
🍚 Jollof Rice Bowls
🥗 Mixed Veg Options
🧀 Halloumi Dishes

The perfect street food to enjoy while soaking up the festival atmosphere, browsing our stalls, and enjoying two afternoons packed with live entertainment.
Join us on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st June and make a weekend of it!

🎉 It's just TEN days to go until the Helensburgh Midsummer Festival returns to Colquhoun Square! 🎉
And trust us... we're bursting to tell you all about what's in store! 👀

We're delighted that Helensburgh Clan Colquhoun Pipe Band will officially open the festival on Saturday 20th June, before handing over to a fantastic lineup of entertainment including Rock Choir • Choirs led by Jen Bonnar, Boogie Box Jive, The Dance Academy, and much more.
On Sunday, the entertainment gets underway with the wonderful HMS Neptune Volunteer Band, followed by Boogie Box Jive and Margaret Rose School of Dance, kicking off another afternoon packed with performances and fun.

We've also got some very special guests joining us across the weekend, plus a few surprises for the wee ones that we're keeping under wraps for now! 🎭✨

Keep your eyes on our socials over the coming days as we'll be revealing more performers, activities and exciting festival announcements very soon.

🎶 BUSKERS WANTED! 🎶

We’re looking for a few more talented buskers to join us at the Helensburgh Midsummer Festival on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June.

We still have a couple of performance slots available on both afternoons and would love to hear from local musicians, singers and performers who’d like to be part of the festival atmosphere in Colquhoun Square.

It’s a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talent, entertain festival-goers and enjoy a fun day out in the heart of Helensburgh.🎤🎸🎻

💛 Happy Volunteers' Week! 💛

As Volunteers' Week draws to a close, we'd like to say a heartfelt thank you to our small but dedicated team of volunteers and regular supporters who help make our Helensburgh Midsummer and Winter Festivals possible.

We're incredibly grateful to our newest recruit, Herman, the Tortoise! (pictured)🐢
Herman has become an official fundraiser for us, posing for photos in the square, thanks to his owner, Elaine Cooper!
It's only 2 more weeks to go until our Midsummer Festival kicks off in the Square, and we have a fantastic lineup of entertainment and fabulous stalls to enjoy, so if you see Herman out and about in the next couple of weeks, make sure you stop and say hello and drop a wee donation in his tin for us! 🐢😊

Thanks go to our committee for planning meetings and fundraising, for setting up the events, promoting the festivals and helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. Our volunteers give their time, energy and enthusiasm throughout the year to keep these much-loved community events alive.

We're also incredibly grateful to the many other local charities, community groups, organisations and businesses across Helensburgh and Lomond who continually support one another. Whether it's sharing resources, lending a helping hand, promoting each other's events or working together for the good of our community, that spirit of collaboration is what makes our area such a special place.

Community events don't happen by magic. They happen because people care enough to get involved. To every volunteer, supporter, sponsor and community champion — thank you. You make a real difference. ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to support us today at the Helensburgh Food & Drink Weekend ❤️

It was fantastic to spend the day chatting with so many lovely people about our upcoming Helensburgh Midsummer Festival, while soaking up the amazing atmosphere, delicious street food and wonderful variety of local stalls and traders on offer throughout the town.

If you missed today, don’t worry — the Food & Drink Weekend is back for Day Two tomorrow, with even more fabulous food, drinks, shopping and entertainment to enjoy 🍔🍹🛍️
