Heckfield Place

Heckfield Place Heckfield Place is a Georgian family home lovingly restored to its classic origins and rewoven into

After a six-year journey of meticulous restoration and refurbishment, Heckfield Place’s exquisite Georgian manor house, which first became a home in 1785, is being transformed into an idyllic country retreat – the perfect synthesis of nature, culture and refined luxury. At the heart of our vision for Heckfield Place is a desire for guests to experience the run of a great English estate – where the

grace and grandeur of the past blend seamlessly with the style and comfort of contemporary hospitality. Set within 400 acres of Hampshire countryside, there are shaded glades and riverside pathways to explore, meadows carpeted with wild flowers, and an ornamental walled garden planted with time-honoured English classics. Guests can spend a lazy afternoon relaxing by the lakes with a picnic hamper, curl up by the fire in the Stables Bar, meander through one of England’s oldest arboretums or drop by The Bothy for a spa treatment. Hard to believe this is all less than an hour’s drive from central London. Nature, the seasons, a love of the land and a profound harmony with our natural legacy… these are the intrinsic values of Heckfield Place. That’s why our gastronomic philosophy is all about local, honest and seasonal food. Whether it’s milk from the estate’s working farm, fresh vegetables grown in our kitchen garden or wild berries foraged from our hedgerows, the estate’s gardeners work hand in hand with the kitchen to create world-class cuisine that makes the very best of the natural bounty on offer at Heckfield Place.

Last week, we unearthed our biodynamic preparations at Home Farm, having buried them beneath the soil at the close of last September.

Held through winter’s dormancy, they slowly transform with the season before being lifted again in spring, as new growth returns to the farm.

Join our Foraged Cocktail Making Workshop and learn how to create cocktails using freshly foraged herbs, flowers and plants gathered from the estate.

Guided through the landscape, you’ll discover what’s growing in season and how each ingredient can be used, not just for flavour, but for its practical qualities too.

Back in the Glasshouse, these findings are brought together with our house-made liquers and tinctures, shaping cocktails that feel rooted in the place they came from...

Introducing Gather and Nourish… A series of intimate walks and shared meals, guided by Amy Steadman, exploring wellbeing through the landscape at Heckfield.

Each gathering begins by moving through garden, woodland and river glade — with small invitations to notice more, both around us and within. The walk settles into a shared table, where the theme continues through seasonal food and easy, thoughtful conversation.

Three gatherings, each with its own focus: Longevity, Women’s Health, and Joy.

Moments to slow, to reconnect, and to be quietly nourished in every sense.

Tickets are now available at £90 per experience, or £240 for the full series, via the link in bio and on heckfieldplace.com
