We have a real treat for HARVEST at Wainsgate: Matthew Bourne & Emily Levy's Mercury Songs this Fri 11 Sep at 7:30 PM

Award-winning performer-composers Emily Levy and Matthew Bourne present a new work for a five-piece ensemble, with experimental orchestration and rich vocal textures that recasts British folk traditions for today.

Mercury Songs is inspired by Bradford-born Julia Varley, a 20th-century activist for women’s and worker’s rights. It is a subversive reimagining of British folk traditions in a post- world.

🥕 We are very happy to be welcoming Altogether Otherwise from Manchester, to Harvest at Wainsgate where they will be cooking up a delicious 3-course Harvest Supper on Friday 11th before the wonderful Mercury Songs with Matthew Bourne and Emily Levy (you can join just for the supper or come along to both).

🍅 On Saturday 12th, Altogether Otherwise will also be facilitating pickle making for people of all ages, as well as bringing their Afghan Box Camera - or kamra-e-faoree (meaning "instant camera") - a handmade wooden device that functions simultaneously as a camera, a darkroom, and a printer.

Join Jo, Amanda and Charlie to experiment with colourful autumn colours, painting on hand dyed paper
