Double or Quit Race An annual multi-terrain 5 or 10 mile race around scenic Shipley Park in Derbyshire. Entries open for our 2024 race. A new date, new time, new course.

🎉🏃‍♂️🏁 Double or Quit – The Final Lap! 🏁🏃‍♀️🎉

A bittersweet thank you to everyone who joined us for the Double or Quit Race 2024, marking the end of an incredible chapter for Ilkeston Running Club at Shipley Country Park. 🌳

Over the years, this unique challenge - whether taking on one lap (5 miles) or both (10 miles) - has tested endurance, celebrated achievements, and brought our community together in support of incredible causes. 💙

We’re immensely proud of what this event has accomplished, raising funds for incredible charities like Prostate Cancer UK, SOBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Su***de), Cancer Research UK, and most recently Treetops Hospice. 🌟 Your participation has made a real difference in countless lives, and we can’t thank you enough for your generosity and spirit.

While 2024 was our final race, the legacy of Double or Quit and its amazing participants will live on. Thank you for the memories, the miles, and the impact. 🏃‍♂️❤️🏃‍♀️

Ilkeston Running Club would like to thank all those who attended our Double or Quit race this morning, we hope you enjoyed the race. We especially hope you liked the early rain shower that we organized to make sure you kept cool!
