🎉 Registration is NOW OPEN for the 50th Anniversary Bullock Smithy Hike! 🎉

The legendary hike and ultra‑running challenge returns on 5th–6th September 2026 and interest is already sky‑high. With this being our milestone 50th event, we’re expecting an especially busy event and spaces are limited.

Entry Includes - Refreshments provided at checkpoints along the route, and upon finishing, participants are rewarded with a Full English breakfast, timed certificate and a unique 50th anniversary item. We will also be offering a commemorative keepsake, this will be available later in the year an additional cost

💚 A Huge Thank You to Our Volunteers 💚

You’ve seen many wonderful comments about our amazing volunteer team – and we couldn’t agree more! 🙌 They are the most supportive, positive, and dedicated bunch of people.

Our team is made up of leaders, parents, ex-Scouting families, friends, local Scout groups, and people who simply love the event and want to be part of it. Some have completed the hike themselves and know the route well, others haven’t – but rest assured, every single one of them walks the hike with you in spirit. 🥾✨

It’s not just the checkpoints… behind the scenes are shoppers, drivers and mates, sign makers, cooks, administrators, hike control, organisers, sweepers, and marquee erectors – every single one a volunteer.

What makes it extra special is that many were once our Cubs, Scouts, or Explorers. Even if they’ve moved on, they still return each year and slot right back in as if they never left. 💫

We simply could not do it without you.
