With Battles Through History now just weeks away, things are getting VERY real at BTH HQ. From ancient warriors and medieval clashes through to Redcoats, WW1 trenches, WW2 battles and the modern era, we’re bringing over 2,000 years of history together for one enormous weekend.

Hundreds of living historians. Incredible military vehicles. Authentic camps. Traders. Displays. Battles. Roaring engines. Explosions. And probably at least two grown men having a genuinely passionate disagreement about whether that particular button existed before June 1944 🤣⚔️

This isn’t history sitting quietly behind a glass cabinet…

THIS IS HISTORY MAKING A BLEDDIN’ GREAT NOISE! 💥🤣🔥

Whether you’re a serious history buff, bringing the family for an adventure, obsessed with military vehicles, or simply fancy seeing what happens when hundreds of adults are given permission to dress up, fire things and invade a field for the weekend… you’re going to fit right in. 😂

We’re thrilled to announce that our headline act will be Smoketree Union, bringing the authentic sound of Nashville to the South of England Showground. Expect all your favourite country hits, big singalongs and the perfect soundtrack for an incredible summer evening.

Alongside live music, you’ll also have the chance to celebrate the coaches, athletes, practitioners, volunteers and gyms that make our community so special.
