Hatfield House Music Festival The next Hatfield House Music Festival takes place between the 8 - 11 October 2026.

The glorious surroundings of Hatfield House offers audiences an exciting and intimate occasion and an opportunity to explore the grounds as well as enjoying concerts. Past Festivals have featured Guy Johnston, Aronowitz Ensemble, Alasdair Beatson, Tom Poster, Sophie Daneman, Kristian Bezuidenhout, Ben Griffiths, Esther Hoppe, Ruby Hughes, Anthony Marwood, Navarra Quartet, Lawrence Power, The Sixteen, Jack Liebeck and the new Hatfield House Festival Chamber Orchestra.

An incredible evening last night launching the 2026 Hatfield House Music Festival ‘Celebrations’ programme in the beautiful surroundings of Hatfield Park✨

It was a pleasure to welcome Guy Johnston, Artistic Director of the Festival, alongside a brilliant performance from the Tippett Quartet, and to celebrate the appointment of Sean Rafferty MBE as the Festival’s first Head of Friends.

Booking for the 2026 Festival has now begun, with priority booking running from Wednesday 13 May through to Wednesday 10 June, when general booking opens.

We’re delighted to welcome the internationally acclaimed Tippett Quartet to Hatfield House Music Festival this Friday for the official launch of our 2026 Festival.

Celebrated for their electrifying performances, rich musicality, and adventurous programming, the Tippett Quartet has established itself as one of the UK’s leading chamber ensembles, performing everywhere from Wigmore Hall to international festivals across Europe, Asia, and North America.

Booking for our 2026 Launch event is open ✨

Join us on Friday 8 May in the Marble Hall Hatfield Park for a welcome by Lord Salisbury, performances by the Tippett Quartet, and an introduction to the 2026 Festival, our 15th Anniversary, by Guy Johnston 🎻

Drinks will be served from 7.30pm in the Armoury. Welcome and music will follow in the Marble Hall from 8pm.

Tickets also include post-concert drinks with the artists but are limited, so early booking is strongly advised ⬇️

Big Give 2026! Help inspire the next generation of musicians 🎻

This year, Hatfield House Music Festival is taking part in the Big Give Arts for Impact campaign, raising funds for a special Learning & Participation project for local schools in Hertfordshire.

John Dowland, one of England’s greatest composers, had historic links with Hatfield House. In 2026, the 400th anniversary of his death offers a special moment to celebrate his music and introduce it to a new generation.

Professional musicians will work with 120 primary school pupils, helping them compose their own original music inspired by Dowland’s works. The project will culminate in a live performance at the Festival, where the children will hear their music brought to life.

At a time when opportunities for music-making in schools are becoming increasingly rare, your support can help young people create, perform, and discover the joy of music.

Every donation through the Big Give will help bring this project to life and what’s more, your donation will be doubled!
