Hastings Comedy Festival comedy nights are back!

We’re kicking off our autumn/winter season on Saturday 26th September at Stade Hall, Hastings Old Town, with a brilliant mixed bill featuring some festival favourites.

Joe da Costa is an award-winning London-based musical comedian and winner of Best New Comedian at the Edinburgh, Brighton and Hastings Comedy Festivals. A talented guitarist and singer, Joe combines sharp comedy with original music. He has appeared on BBC New Comedy Awards, with writing credits including 8 Out of 10 Cats and Richard Ayoade’s Question Team.

President Obonjo has been performing at Hastings Comedy Festival since 2016, regularly playing to sold-out rooms. The acclaimed character comedian behind the fictional Lafta Republic delivers sharp political satire and high-energy stand-up. He has performed at Edinburgh, Brighton and Bath Comedy Festivals, with his NextUp Comedy special now available on ITVX.

Katie Pritchard has also supported us since the very first year and will host the evening.
An award-winning comedian, musician, actor and writer, Katie is a very silly artist whose latest show, Katie Pritchard is Sir Elton Scone, combines comedy, music, costumes and props. She has appeared on Harry Hill’s Clubnite and Stand Up 2 Cancer, with her comedy special Disco Ball available on ITVX and NextUp.

Katie is the winner of the Musical Comedy Awards and Pegasus Comedy Musical Comedian of the Year 2026, and has been featured in The Times, The Guardian and The Telegraph.

When Madame Chandelier’s daughter gets sucked into her video game and is kidnapped by the evil Queen of the Night, there’s only one thing to do – gather opera’s fiercest characters for an epic boss battle. Will Carmen, Tosca, and Madame Butterfly help defeat the ultimate boss, or will all arias lead to death? Fun for the whole family! **** “Expert Timing” The Guardian **** “A true diva... phenomenal. 🕝2:45pm - CK Nath : A Bit of Foreign Stuff (Work in Progress)

High energy and full of bite! Join CK as she takes you through her upbringing in India, finding herself in the UK and the hilarious joyous moments of culture clash. Blending sharp stand-up, vivid storytelling, and cheeky character work as she channels the conservative Indian mother as easily as a middle class British granny. CK Nath is a finalist of West End New old Act; So You Think You're Funny? and Komedia New Comedy Award semi-finalist

Like smiling. But only when I'm unaware of it. If you know you're smiling, you're doing it wrong. Unless you're looking at a camera. Or a dentist.
