Today we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Breezin', the definitive masterpiece that transformed George Benson from a high-speed bop virtuoso into a global cultural icon. Produced by the legendary Tommy LiPuma, the album’s sophisticated blend of soulful vocals and fluid, Wes Montgomery-inspired guitar work shattered industry expectations by topping the Jazz, R&B, and Pop charts simultaneously. Its centerpiece, a hauntingly beautiful rendition of Leon Russell’s "This Masquerade," introduced the world to Benson’s unique scat-along guitar technique, bridging the gap between instrumental brilliance and commercial accessibility. Half a century later, "Breezin'" stands as a testament to the enduring power of Black American Music to evolve, cross over, and maintain its artistic soul.

Missing Jack Russell Grace has potentially been sighted near the Jamaica Inn 🚨

Becca McApline was walking her pet around Golitha Falls, near the Inkies cafe, on Saturday (March 14) when her dog became spooked and stumbled into the River Fowey.

She has been out searching for the Jack Russell ever since, with several others joining her from the community.

Yesterday, the owner from Launceston updated that Grace may have been sighted about two miles from the Jamaica Inn, heading in that direction.

Becca has thanked everyone who has searched for Grace and asked that her appeal is shared 'far and wide'.

Fingers crossed Grace is reunited with her family soon 🤞

Just would like to say.....the last 2days ....has been amazing and has engraved fun happy memories......
Huge thank you to @⁨J⁩ for inviting me down to the showcase and to be involved......what a lovely place ..the community the elected town Mayor (to whom i would be emailing directly) made me felt very welcome....and said nothing but kind words...

To all the acts WELL DONE keep shining and being creative ...and live within your purpose.....

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE NIGHT!😍😍

Haslemere, you were amazing! What a great way to kick off the Bank Holiday weekend.

Kara Van-Park was fabulous as usual. Edwin Ray was a breath of musical fresh air AND Andy Franklin had the place jumping from start to finish!

A big shout out to the whole production team, especially our very own Jay Dodds.

Stephen David Everett's fabulous staff at the Swan made the night run smoothly and kept the drinks flowing and the food cooking!

All of the banners, posters and advertising you saw last night was produced and created by James Mcadam.

AND OF COURSE, Anthony Douch for being the backbone of this event!
