Same dancefloor. Same day.
Yesterday morning it was me and Olivia stood looking at an empty room.
While our Amazing Team carried on preparing the venue around us, me and Olivia had one of those rare quiet moments, coffee in hand, looking at an empty dancefloor (already thinking of ideas for what’s next)
Months of ideas, planning and building these events had brought us to that moment.
We’d done everything we could to create the night.
Now we just needed the one thing you can’t plan, buy or manufacture…
You.
A few hours later, it looked like the second photo.
A packed dancefloor. A world-renowned DJ front and centre. People dancing, laughing, singing and sharing a night together right here in Hartlepool.
This is why we do it.
The truth is, we don't always make money from these events. There are nights where, on paper, you'd probably question why we keep taking the risk.
But the plan has always been bigger than one night's takings.
We wanted to create something.
A place that brings people together. A community built around music, good people and good nights. Somewhere people genuinely look forward to coming back to.
And slowly, event by event, that's exactly what's happening.
Yesterday morning I stood there with our daughter in an empty room, knowing what we hoped it would become.
A few hours later, we stood back and watched that same room absolutely alive.
That's difficult to put a price on.
We're incredibly proud of what we're building. But more than anything, we're grateful.
Because you can spend money on DJs. You can buy lights, sound systems, furniture and fancy bottles.
But you can't buy what happened in that room last night.
That comes from people.
And somewhere along the way, this stopped being something that only meant something to us.
It's become somewhere people feel part of. People have made friends here. They come back event after event. They bring their mates, bring their families, dance together and genuinely care about what we're trying to build.
That's when you realise you're not just filling a dancefloor anymore. You're building a community.
We might have started it…
but all of you are making it what it is.
And looking at those two photos side by side, we couldn't be more grateful.
This really is Our House.
